Shakira, JLo, Madonna, Cher, Lana Del Rey - they’re memorable, sound universal and unique at the same time.

 

Worst:

Slayyyter, Nicole Scherzinger, Bebe Rexha, Natasha Bedingfield, Hailee Steinfeld, Fergie, MARINA (either people don’t instantly get how to pronounce it everywhere which makes its sound awkward, it doesn’t fit them at all or they are a stylistic … choice)

Lady Gaga isn’t one of the best. I feel like she regrets it too. It will not look good when she’s 60 years old and still being called that. She’s already had to downgrade it 2 times, from Lady Ga Ga, to Lady GaGa, to its current state Lady Gaga.

It's ok as a music stage name, but it really doesn't work as an actress name. What can she do though? Steflani Germanotta is unworkable 

I always wondered why Lady Gaga hasn't re-branded as simply Gaga at this point. Lady Gaga is a bit clunky.

 

I was shocked to discover that "Dua Lipa" wasn't a stage name  But then, I don't know why I thought she would have chosen THAT as a stage name either.

Worst: Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, all the Gs... Karol G, Becky G, Laura G etc...

Best: most names with only one word, like Shakira, Cher, Beyoncé, etc., also Britney Spears and Lana Del Rey

 

Not great, but good: Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez: there’s nothing great or groundbreaking but they’re strong and easy to remember, they also fit they’re brands and sound like celebrity names

 

Bad: long names like Carly Rae Jepsen, meme ones like LMFAO (the ones that sing the Party Rock Anthem song), Id also say Kali Uchis (it’s cool but it isn’t easy to remember, or to pronounce to Americans), and lastly all the rappers that have “Lil” 

 

Marina should’ve kept the and the Diamonds on her name. It was SO iconic and cool. I think that if she came back with it she could have a little moment again tbh

 

I would be okay with her using Marina Diamandis too, sounds expensive.

Worst: Tegan and Sara (makes them look sooo basic), MARINA (), any name that starts with Lil' except Lil' Kim, Iggy Azalea (her name is literally Amethyst, now come on now!), any long/tiring/generic name (Natasha Bedingfield, Nicole Scherzinger, Amy Macdonald, GAYLE, etc.)

Best: Hole. Imagine having an iconic band that shaped music and aesthetics for an entire generation and the next ones to come... and being known simply as Hole

 

Worst: sega bodega, and his music is atrocious, he's the embodiment of trying way too hard with very little musical ability.

Halsey sounds cute and smooth . I love it tbh and I’m not a fan. 
 

best: Shakira is pretty Unique en memorable. Nicki Minaj sounds good too

 

worst: Demi lovato always  sounded weird to me, my first language is not English so that last name is not very common where I live but still… it’s memorable though.

It's pretty much her artistic thesis (or at least strongly was when she debuted) – old-school theatre mixed with future-forward music and fashion – but it's actually befitting more than ever now since she's constantly alternating between her jazz/acoustic and mainstream pop eras and the striking contrast between the "Lady" and "Gaga" modes makes people respect her range and versatility even more. It's only clunky for the fans tbh but "Lady Gaga" is a global brand and household name.
