This article does a good job explaining everything. Essentially it was a subscription service where you could order a ton of CD's for almost nothing. The issue was that they billed people later on and labels noticed it felt scammy and that's why it died out.

Any Taylor single sales what? None of her pre -willow single got discounted or remix .. and it was all done by her team/label to secure her a 1 in Christmas week the most competitive period 

Taylor Swift releasing a vinyl with the rehearsal audio of her BBMAs performance of "ME!" never fails to make me laugh. Such chaotic measures, only for the song to get blocked by "Old Town Road" 's organic dominance 

 

(it was for the best... Taylor already has enough career-worst songs as chart-toppers as it is )

 

The whole "Stuck With U" desperation was shameless too, especially considering the song was meant to be a charity single. 

 

People already mentioned Dua Lipa taking "Prisoner" from Miley and harming "Plastic Hearts" ' chart performance, but if I recall correctly, Ariana did the same thing with Jessie J when she added "Bang Bang" as a bonus track for "My Everything". In both cases, it's truly bizarre as both albums were already successful enough without these songs.
