And Britney got her Clinton era sales record demolished by Taylor during the streaming era anyway. Gaga was ahead of her time with the Amazon sales deal seeing as nowadays you don't even have to pay anything to be counted as a "sale"

Even without the deal that you guys have been harping about for years the sales still would've been bigger than most Britney albums post-Clinton first week sales. At least Gaga got the first #1 song featuring mentions of the LGBT community who she doesn't call "somewhat girls"

Britney at the time had already released 7 albums. I would hope that Gaga would do better numbers after coming out of her peak era lmao make sense @GraceRandolph

wait how is overshipping a chart manipulation  unless you mean for the IFPI?? but it's more likely that her label really just expected more sales and instead it fall short. at least she can say those are physical sales & not digitally signed copies with alternative covers 

 

i'm not saying i'm above the discounts though. my favs Mariah & Taylor are known offenders to this. it's kinda embarrassing but it is what it is, at least it worked/works for them because they have the fanbase to support
