Binging 3rd and 2nd generation performances today and remembering  how much better things used to be. You could have sent RV to Coachella in 2016 and I wouldn't have been scared of them embarrassing themselves.

 

The music, visuals, music videos and choreography is all still good. Kpop is not dead. But performances are just not what they used to be. You could watch an award show back in the day and be entertained from start to finish. Now it's just a series of pre-recorded vocal performances with mostly the same girl crush-ish concept. A shame.

I think they were meaning for Garam to be the center. I mean, a fresh face, one of the youngest, conventionally pretty/sweet looking, Korean. I don't know how viable she is now

Not these fumes still going on. Aespa is the first GG to be invited to the main stage, there was nothing wrong with SM's statement.

 

Of course aespa's company is going to big them up, that's their job.
