A lot of Johnny groups have this kind of album sales. Usually they have members in variety, acting, musicals so they get a lot of new fans. A lot of fans of artist are concert goers too so the groups/singers earn a lot from touring.
Anye Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 I know she isn’t an album seller but still, she deserves better

But they do nn Virtually every k-pop act over the past 20 years debuted in Japan. The thing is Japan's mainly consumes their own music, and they prefer k-pop groups who have a japanese member.

Where have you been sis no of course I know they do but 95% of these kpop acts only release japanese versions of their korean songs which is basically doing the bare minimum why not release full on japanese projects and do full japanese promotions like SNSD and Twice

They did. 2nd gen went to variety shows and earn a lot of money in touring. TVXQ biggest earning is their japan concerts. Politics happen so 2.5 gen is unable to get some niche popularity. Twice with their jline was the start of another kpop wave. BP & BTS are the ones who really open the american dream so a lot of kpop nowadays wants the billboard clout.
CandyCoatedClouds Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 I wonder if Garam is still living with the other members right now or if she's at home with her family. I know I'd be salty seeing my group members come back from their many schedules while she's practically on house arrest. I wonder when the trial will begin so we can get this mess over with.

The fact that Solar single album outsold her 84k vs. 66k (Hwasa's biggest release). And Moonbyul is basically a boygroup she's all physical no digital, she's pulling 100k at each release. Even her single will have hard copies cause she sell a lot. Yes maybe thats the reason, I also noticed how all the girls got 2 or 3 versions but hwasa last album only had one, it must be for the same reason i agree moonbyul is mamamoo s biggest seller, i'm actually suprised since the other members seems to be more popular but she has sold like 200k albums this year alone

Nothing to deny that Stray Kids was the biggest and the 4th gen BGs leader atm, but then it's kinda weird that their digital strength are not good among k-GPs compare to the 2nd and 3rd Gen BGs leader counterpart. Like this year alone BTS manage to get top 5 on Gaon(Circle) Digital Chart despite being on their flop era and BigBang managed to get #1 and PAK despite being done almost zero promo on their comeback.

AD MARE was their Black Mamba, Hey Gabby was their Forever and now they’re about to give us their Next Level. And I’m sure we’ll get another comeback in January, which is three comebacks in a year!
