The plan behind jhope album release was awful, no physical release (just a couple pcs with a qr card to a digital pb), and apparently he s not doing promotions or stages on music shows, it's really no different than the mixtapes they have done in the past, I really don't see the point in half doing things, plus they music is so different it reminds me when mel c cut her hair and went full rock star after the spice girls

If NMIXX wants to remain in the conversation (or even just enter it) JYP needs to give them an actual song first and foremost. Then a good song on top of that. No more nonsense noise and befuddled lore. Keep the magical jellyfish theme if you want but it should just be an aesthetic.

I kind of agree that it seems like there was a massive deflation after BTS announced their hiatus. Like the fandom is a balloon and once that news came out the air just got let out. Now nobody seems to care unless it's their faves. It may sound weird, but I think seeing Taehyung palling around with BlackPink in the open made it finally clear to a lot of fans that things weren't going to be the same as the Ot7 era. Not to mention that BTS left off on a bittersweet song that just felt like a logical conclusion. It reminds me of people just not keeping up with Marvel after Endgame.

 

I think J Hope might have gotten ahead of himself with this lack of promotion. I think either he or Hybe or both overestimate the popularity and lasting potential of the individual members. People are so fickle and can move on so easily. And unless you are literally Beyonce level on your own, you can't just drop a project and do no promo. He should be working as hard as Nayeon was to get the song to rise.

Hwasa doesn't sell physically. She's all digital. The fact that Solar single album outsold her 84k vs. 66k (Hwasa's biggest release). 

 

And Moonbyul is basically a boygroup she's all physical no digital, she's pulling 100k at each release. Even her single will have hard copies cause she sell a lot.
