The Stress is Chisato Moritaka's 6th single. It was written by Chisato and produced by Hideo Saito. The album version of the song is simply named 'Stress', and it's slightly different from the single one. Each edition of the single (CD, vinyl, casette) had a different cover, and some of them became extremely rare. The use of the waitress outfit both in the covers and the music video is due to the rhyming of 'stress' with 'waitress'. The song only hit no. 19 on the charts, although it has always enjoyed a cult status. Natsumi Abe (ex-Morning Musume) covered the song, and her version did slightly better.

i like most of the songs in this update 

thoughts:

1. overheat night is still in so the rate could be redeemed if it wins, although that's highly doubtful. i should have gone through with my plan to sabotage akina  

2. despite how dirty you all did momoko's earlier immaculate stuff, it's nice that you were able to appreciate her late-career serve

3. will shizuka even make it to the top 10 at this point? she was holding on tight at first but her songs kept tumbling down like dominoes afterwards. koi hitoyo is actually quite good, though.
4. structure of romance being the last kyoko song to stand is absolutely disgusting. it has the same issue as don't stop the music - it just sounds cheap in comparison the songs that it was inspired by.

Both of them also previously produced DANCING SHOES. It hit no. 1 on the charts and became the 43rd best-selling single of 1988. Despite not being a huge hit for her initially, only peaking at no. 15, it slowly gained in popularity over time, and it's currently her most-streamed song overall. It was written by Chisato while she was working on her 5th album, Kokon Touzai, and it shares some of the lyrics with あるOLの青春 〜A子の場合〜. Her main producer, Hideo Saito, took care of the rest. The song itself made it to ROCK ALIVE, Chisato's 6th album, although the album version is slightly different. It was used as the opening theme of thr dorama 'Mattanashi!', with Yuki Saito in the main role. The song was covered by such artists as misono, You Kikkawa and MEG.
