Wild statement considering Selena's latest album first week outdebuted Miley+Demi combined. Miley would kill today to have Selena's last album numbers, while having 1/10 of its promotion and playlisting.

I thought EOTW would be a classic on first listen. There is some improvement on production but it screamed classic.

She scored her biggest debut and the album low-key was succesfull considered she didn't lift a finger and her label did not move it either

That's why is "Palestine aid" Because they haven't said where they are donating

Robert Kraft announces he and Ed Sheeran are donating $2 million each to "aid in the region to fight this humanitarian crisis" following Macklemore's donation to Palestinians: "Earlier today, before Macklemore challenged me to match his donation, Ed called me and asked me to commit $2 million to match his donation to aid in the region to fight this humanitarian crisis. Ed now plans to reach out to other venue owners and our goal is to continue to work together to build bridges." https://x.com/PopBase/status/2100356257815384450

The thing is she has never have a good music team, she got lucky Interscope pushed her in her first eras but Aleen has never been good when it comes to music, you can see how different Olivia's era has been handled with and without Aleen. She just has never managed a musician before. She needs a team that knows how to hype things up, how the promote, that trust her and a label that support that. ISILYF had so much potential but it wasn't linked with good promo and I don't mean Selena actually promoting herself but good marketing stragety. In fact, Benny carried the first two weeks. The singles choice were also horrible and she didn't even lift a finger, what was that CMWYBU video? Y&H mv also lowkey sucks, she released a good video "Sunset Blvd" and it did good and it pushed the song a lot (despite having almost ZERO playlisting). A lot of songs showed potential to do good the first week but it lacked initiative. And with each release she keeps getting less streams cause everything seems uninspired. I think she is not motivated bc of numbers but she also has a lot to blame for that. She only posted one story for Te Olvido and vanished and if your team does nothing and your label decides not to push a song it's over. and Mind u, Te Olvido deserved at least Viva Latino.

A classic if u ask me

Interscope hasn't submitted, happened the same with all Selena's song except the ones released by Interscope

Selena Gomez & the Scene karaoke album They don't call her THE MEXICAN MADONNA for anything

She can have both, the problem is her team thinking people will remember "oh this song was #1 on Spotify for 90 days", that's just smth stans brag about, if she had released spanish version the friday the final of the worldcup she would have had a WW hit and another Spanish hit

I don't understand why they aren't replacing the english song for the spanish one in Spanish playlists like Viva Latino, Exitos Mexico, Exitos España.. etc, just for the shake of being #1 on Spotify WW, in 10 years nobody is going to say "this song was "x" on Spotify global" but she can score another hit in Spanish in Spain and Latin American countries like Waka-Waka, because here it was a moderate hit and the spanish version is miles better. Her team is happy for scoring another hit WW but she can score another one in Spanish too, they missed the opportunity cause it was viral (the spanish version) when she teased it, all over TikTok, but oh well.

She scored her first #1 6 years ago and one of her biggest hits 3 years ago. The main issue is her lack of passion, her fear and her team

It's a good bop tho and it gets better when each listen
