She also looks very happy at these events, unlike some other (events) she attended in the past.

I'm glad too see her enjoying all her projects 

Selena is so incredibly on a all-time career peak with all those things happening with her acting career that even her streams are climbing. 

 

 

 

Yeah, this was a great year for Selena on acting and her business. Health wise too, she seems to be doing much better

Only in music it was not a good year, but one can't have everything

Strange so many of the old cast didn't show up at the WOWP spinoff premiere

I hope Jake is able to rebuild his career and has matured. I think he a better actor than David

Why is Selena not credited in Perdoname when she literally sings in it?? Interscope might not have gotten the publishing rights for that one so they couldn't credit her? idk

she's also on El Trio and not credited. Weird

her voice is SO SO beautiful in Perdoname. 

 

anyway, Bienvenida is such a grower i'm shocked cuz it's basically a drunk crazy rant but Selener makes it worth it, i'm kinda obsessed?

and Mi Camino just as beautiful as expected.

I'm fine with her not being credited in El Trio since it's just a dialogue but  Perdoname deserves a credit :(

 

It's so sad that Interscope doesn't allow promo in her profile with Mi Camino

I think in the version on streaming, all of Selena's lines are sang by Camille? That'd be my guess, but I really hope they release a version featuring her vocals from the film. That song is beautiful.

Also, thinking about it but El Trio and Perdoname could reveal large parts of the plot, so they might be trying to discourage people who are big fans of Selena that are planning on going to the movie? Maybe her credit will be added later.

Perdoname is Karla ft Camille & Selena. I think the reason why she's not credited there it's because it's a collab and it would be confusing for the publishing rights that allowed Interscope to Sony

I hope that when Emilia Perez is all said and done after the Oscar's she turn her attention a little bit for music, but she's probably getting a lot of movie roles

maybe she'll at least re-record some Linda Rondsett songs? idk... 

i do think she'll release new music if she gets 3 or something months without a new acting project to promote or to film tho, cuz Selena is such a workaholic (way more than our fanbase think she is) 

but will she have 3 free months? it's not looking like she will 

well, at least she's serving way more than i would predict some years ago as an actress. so it's been good to be a stan.

i don't like to comment about it that much but selena's speaking voice is serving pre-2020 again.  it's good to see.

the fact that we (and selena) all know it can change anytime again

body, health overall (of course, the most important thing), voice.. all that changing all the time on the public eye

selena's is wayyyyy more active than i would be if i were her. 

anyway, 2024 seems like truly one of the best years she's ever had EVER!

Just saw Emilia Perez and Selena did great hope this opens more acting opportunities for her

Ungrateful *****, she doesn't even write or perform like just put the album out for the producers and songwriters that are waiting for the royalties and your fans that have been there always for you and call it a day.

 

She will end up going back to music in a couple years only to get more disappointed about the numbers. If you make music for the numbers instead of sharing your art , that's the problem

I think she's meant that she moved on from where she was before overall and that she's happy, not that she's moved on from music. 
 

she'll not focus on music and thats clear, she hasn't since 2022. But i don't think she won't release anything, thats not what i got reading the whole interview.

She has been doing these type of comments since 2021 and her team doesn't tell her that only hurt her image and don't make her seem as a serious or consistent artist
