Rumors that haven't been debunked by her team a week later… The Telegraph listed precise dates for her London shows which means the negotiations were (very) well advanced so… *unless she decides to cancel everything* it's happening I fear. And it looks like it's not just gonna be London but I don't wanna jinx it so I'll hush

:clack:

They haven't debunked her headlining Glastonbury and I'm 99% sure it ain't happening (most media have been reporting for months that Olivia Rodrigo and The 1975 are the headliners). That's what The Telegraph led with in their headline. Not the London shows. We can't treat any source as reliable at this point when it comes to Rihanna.

  • this is a random rant but I'm proud of (the majority) of us. Some of these girls on here are so fickle they've abandoned their original favs that are still active and bandwagoned anyone else with subs

💀 The Telegraph never said she was for sure headlining Glastonbury though, they said it was a possibility based on the fact she has a series of stadium shows booked in London a few days later. I know y'all traumatized but come on!

I don't see Olivia at Glastonbury since she is already so booked around that time frame :coffee2:

We can't be happy even when she's telling us we're about to be happy

I adore FourFiveSeconds and how razor sharp her vocal was on many songs on ANTI so this would be a good direction.

Nothing is happening I fear, idk why I ever get any hopes up lol

ASAPs new album is also coming this year I believe, especially now that the court case has been dismissed. I would be surprised if there wasn't a collab on there too. I guess ideally we would get that + Smurfs, then r9 in Q4 but honestly as we all know speculating is utterly pointless :cm:

From a business stand point Glastonbury doesn't make sense anyways. 200,000 attended last year. That's enough people for Rihanna to fill up 2.5 stadium shows on her own.

It wouldn't make sense to do a Festival show- get partial profit, and risk losing revenue from them not seeing her on tour like a week later… :rip:

I agree.

Furthermore, I don't understand why people are putting so much emphasis on wanting her to perform at this festival.

Every artist and their mother has performed there now and, respectfully, as somebody from the U.K, it's not as revered as it used to be in my opinion. I went there in 2022 and couldn't wait to leave. I would've liked it a few years ago more so than now and definitely prefer a tour over it.

It only makes sense for R9 to come this year anyway, especially now that the court case is over.

Also, with all the information that's coming out regarding R9 (significant producers doing full blown interviews on it, her interview in Harper's, the tour rumours) it's looking more and more plausible that the album will be a Q3/Q4 release.

ASAP has recently been in Italy the past week meanwhile she stayed in L.A which I found really interesting!

I think it's the biggest promo opportunity and exposure that exists in the UK in 2025. I want to see her live on the BBC getting the recognition she deserves given that ANTI was largely ignored here by radio etc if we're being honest. I want a televised set we can rewatch forever as it's been so long since we got her performing at a televised festival.
