Probably. But I just don't see why she'd randomly do 6 concerts in London out of nowhere. It makes no sense. Attaching it to a Glastonbury set would be a logical as she'd be rehearsing a show anyway for Glastonbury and may as well make some money out of it.

London residency could be to celebrate 20 years of her career or to test the waters for a proper tour later on ? But yeah Glastonbury would also makes sense

I would hope it comes before smurfs. If planned right, she could do a summer release and then have the smurfs in July or whatever and appeal to all audiences.

yeah Smurfs is scheduled to release July 18th... the 20th anniversary of Pon de Replay is May 24th (a Saturday). I think that Friday before would be such a cute day to release something whether it's the lead single or the album

I have mixed feelings about this. The smurfs are gonna come and go in like a week because nobody will care. So i'd rather have her drop a massive bop right after. 
 

the problem is that if her song(s) for the smurfs suck, it kills the vibe.

I really would need a ramp up in leaked whispers about the album from credible sources (kinda like how HitsDailyDouble has hinted at previous Rihanna releases including Lift Me Up) to fully buy it. I'm not sure if she's angling for something to commemorate the 20th anniversary of her debut or the 10th anniversary next year. I do feel like (barring another pregnancy), she is reaching the point where she feels ready finally. Her businesses and her family have grown up a bit (to the point where she can make such a commitment to tour as well). 
 

My question is: What is the latest date she could possibly announce the London shows and Glastonbury? I'd like to know what date to look out for to see if there is any hope in that. 

It would be amazing to me if she has managed to complete the album with little to no leaks about her studio time, meeting with writers and producers, recording the music, filming a lead music video, the artwork etc.

Last year Glastonbury announced the line up on 14th March.

The Telegraph said an announcement could come as soon as this week (for the London residency), but who knows. It should come in March at the latest though (if real)

I honestly have PTSD from this woman. I really mf hope something is coming and it isnt just the smurf songs. I miss her presence and her voice and domination. 

I hope something comes this week at least an announcement of something music related, probably the tour first (if real).

 

Do you think she'll just surprise drop the album? It'll be interesting to see the rollout seeing as she knows how to launch a brand/product now. We need visuals and a proper rollout

she can pull off a surprise drop but idk if she will.

The wait and silence is killing me...
