hello ladies

the chatter in here.

okay so she is roughly 3-4 months pregnant (no more than 4 months, i guarantee you that) i've worked with pregnant women for 3 years, her bump is not more than the 4. that means she must of gotten pregnant oct-nov 2022, which is well after the Super Bowl was announced so she was already committed. i'm sure there was a contract signed (and a potential penalty if she broke it).

anyways. i think she was originally gearing up to release music and tour (hence the tour rumours, etc.), but that was pulled when she was pregnant. she wasn't going to start cancelling shows because that would have created a fuss and people would already start speculating why. so she let it be and let the baby bump cancel it for everyone. plus, the behind the scenes of the apple music stuff, we never got because she started rehearsing i believe dec 2022 so she would of already started showing.

as for the super bowl, you can tell that this was never the show she intended to do. as in, i'm sure she had more dancing planned and probably a costume change at some point, but wasn't able to do it because she's pregnant.

i wish she had pushed the performance to another year (if she could), but it's done now girls and now we can anticipate the launch of her new fenty brand, fenty kids with formula and pampers.

see you again in a year and a half ladies.

Yea I think this is what happened too. The pregnancy changed everything.

The more I watch the performance the more I start to like it .

The minimalistic approach is what makes it crisp, cool & different from what we expect from pop girls.

Minimalist  & Futuristic  !!!

I LOVE every second of it

VMAs was **** compared to SuperBowl

I have yet to see her put on a performance as engaging or creative since this:

It would’ve fared better if she would’ve did something very similar (a tailgate party per se), because her nonchalant performing style works incredibly well with it.

I should honestly get off Atrl at this point 'cause the toxicity is way too much. :gaycat6: Rih truly is the most hated mpg on this cesspool of a site. Oh well.

Anyways I hope we also get a performance at the Oscars for LMU with a choir

• Rihanna’s performance is receiving GOOD to HIGH praise from critics and the GP.

• The recurrent numbers are fantastic and will only explode tomorrow.

• She’s the #1 trending topic WW on social media and google.

Ignore ATRL…

Every MPG receives hate and this performance + LMU were the first steps Rihanna took back into music in a while so, of course, everybody was going to lash her in any way they could and this is no exception.

She’s not immune to it on this absolute disaster of a site filled with mostly depressed homosexual weirdos.

Keep streaming the Queen and praying she drops more music soon.

Her performance will probably age well. Like Anti or any of her previous lead singles despite this forum trying to convince us otherwise.

She always gets initial hate and people come around.

She's said she's excited to have Barbados on stage because she herself represents Barbados. She never said her show could have a Caribbean theme.

Yea I guess you’re right :priceless: Rewatching the interview she kinda danced around the question of representing Caribbean culture. Would’ve made for an even more memorable show 😭

Lets not forget ATRL called we found love, Diamonds and Work horrible and flops. Same with the initial reception of Anti.

Never take this site seriously

VMAs 2016 were definitely better. She couldn’t even lift her leg up properly just keeping it real.

Them adding the sit down choreo to give her time to catch her breath.

Louder for the people in the back!

I think all artists and performers should give 100% and there should be no excuses. At first, I thought Rihanna was giving low energy and I was so caught up in my excitement that I didn't realize she may have been pregnant. Now that it's confirmed, I think with all things considered, Rihanna put on a decent show.

If she wasn't pregnant, she would've had on pumps and given more choreography. Rihanna has BEEN dancing on stage since her debut single, regardless of what people think of her dancing ability, she does put on a show.

I'll keep watching the show over time, but there were several great things about the show. Rihanna looked great, the production value was crazy, Parris and the dancers did amazing choreography and Adam Blackstone absolutely killed the musical direction.

Pre-recording or lip syncing isn't bad. Performing requires stamina and pregnancy will make breathing control and movement more challenging.

I'm so glad she's in the news and is the topic of conversation. I think revealing her pregnancy at the halftime is somewhat genius and I look forward to the conversations that'll come from this.

Actually I haven't really thought about it before but one of you pointed it out - she always sings live (which is one of the things I respect about her the most) - but here she had the universal permission to lip (from stans, atrl, GP and everybody) and she chose to... record "normal" vocals

She was dodging the long or high notes and simplifying the melodies the same way she always does even though she was lipping - that was her one chance to actually serve some good vocal acrobatics, runs and belts live (since it was almost fully pre-recorded eitherway) but she just served "standard Rih on a good day" type of vocals. She could've gone for the original (studio) Diamonds note, she could've served better vocals for Umbrella, WFL or Rude Boy. I just don't get it :rip:

She really didn't :monkey: not even LOTB, a crime

The NFL upload on YouTube is at 12M views after 13 hours. A HIT performance. The public really misses her as much as the Navy does:jonny3:

So very proud. I don’t care that the losers are fuming. I’ve already peeped the fake love from the gays on this site. It’s fine, let them have their fun. She remains the beloved GP darling and as they say “A large star always produces many shadows”. :lakitu:

I disagree....the set was pretty fast moving. Aside from Diamonds, I don't see where should would have had time for vocal acrobats, most of the songs did not capture the climax of the record i.e Umbrella's ad-libs would have made sense if she had done the end 'it's raining raining' etc, WFL was pretty much just one verse, chorus and then the drop. Rude boy was a sped up version. I thought the vocals were good without any belts though I do wish she had done the big belt at the end of Diamonds....that's essentially the only part with room for vocal acrobats.

When will you all stop taking rumours as a confirmation that something is coming? I can understand why people believed the tour rumours but everything Rih actually said in interviews was pointing us away from an album coming anytime soon. She said the Super Bowl and new music were different things. She said the album might take some time. She's not going to outright say no album in an interview before the Super Bowl as it would have killed hype and people would've questioned why but since announcing the Super Bowl she has not once said anything to indicate an album is coming.

And yet because the tour was "pretty much confirmed" that meant that music must be coming. I hope some of you feel silly. I was cackling when I saw her baby bump because it is so on brand for her to cancel plans for a tour. She cancelled multiple things in the lead up to ANTI and she's cancelled things in the period since then. She'd have cancelled the Super Bowl if she could have because there's no way she wanted to do it whilst pregnant.

We need to learn that until Rihanna has announced it it's not happening. And even then things can change.

thank god i wasnt here for the superbowl.

i enjoyed it & yall ******* who didnt like it:  we get it. get it over with.

no need to sholve your opinion on rhe others.

I was going to mention that I was disappointed that the Diamonds big note was missing. Felt like a missed opportunity and a must if you're using it as the end of the show.

Pour It Up and Pose didn't belong in the set imo but apart from that I have no complaints.

1) "It's Rihanna we're talking about. Have you seen her old performances?" - mm, okay. So you're basically saying that the bar was already in hell so anything above "meh" should be celebrated? Let's respect ourselves

Well because why are you even a stan if you have a problem with the fact that this was a great performance from her :skull:

birthday cake/pour it up/pose made me levitate!!

I understand the hate because I was also expecting a bit more but it was fine and pretty much Rihanna.

I am just sad that it is visible she does not care about music anymore, and it is fine, she has the right, she worked her ass off since 17.

But again, there is always some hope but we can slowly realize she will never release another album.

I'll be honest, after this performance, I'm hoping she becomes more accepting and comfortable with the idea of mixing live and pre-recorded vocals if she ever does a tour again...many artists do it and it makes for a much better show. I think her tours have really suffered from poor vocals and the constant pointing the mic to the crowd
