Ok Navy I need to know where we stand now. With Fenty Baby #2 on the way, what are we thinking?

Can we say nothing’s happening in 2023 regarding tour/new muic? Do we still have hope, somehow? Annoucements this year but actual rollouts next year?

Tagging @istan4badgalriri and @GoodGuyGoneGhetto because they always have interesting takes and i trust them.

I don't even know what to expect anymore with this h*oe!! lol

She could be giving birth by the summer and still make it to rihvember....

But I doubt it.

The tour next year if new music happens... could be.

But I would say we get nothing until 2024.

(Oscars performance next month could be tho)

guys her video makes me sooooooooo emotional omg    we have grown old together as a fanbase. we were just teenagers & most of us are adults in their late 20'/30's now.

Something that nobody mentioned is how brave is for a woman to put herself during the pregnancy in SUCH a stressful situation :clap3:

Watching right now - same interview as yesterday on FOX

People can love it or hate it. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion but let's just set 2 things straight:

1) "It's Rihanna we're talking about. Have you seen her old performances?" - mm, okay. So you're basically saying that the bar was already in hell so anything above "meh" should be celebrated? Let's respect ourselves

2) Anybody delusional enough to say she was singing live is honestly an idiot :mazen: Like... are your ears and eyes okay? And to be clear - I don't mind, Super Bowl is literally the one place where I can forgive pre-recorded vocals but pretending that she was live when 90% of the performance was lipped? (Yeah, lipped. Don't come at me with that silly "background vocals" nonsense). Please

Personaly, for me it was disappointing. It wasn't anywhere near "tragic" but she could've and should've done much better. Even pregnant (dancing was never the reason why people enjoyed her performances).

Gurl which bar ? In which world do you live ?

Find right now one performance that Rihanna gave a different type of energy...

THIS IS WHO SHE IS

This is the type of performer she is , she was always like that

Chilled , relaxed like not caring about anything

Yea I completely agree. For me after all the next level visuals we’ve gotten for Savage X coupled with her saying she would be representing for Barbados/The Caribbean I expected a little more.

I just wish she didn't do it. I understand, she probably agreed before she found out she's pregnant. But she still must have found out MONTHS ago. If she gently let the NFL know about it and promised to perform some other year (Bey at Coachella tea) - I'm sure it could have been arranged and a different act could be found with still enough time.

But instead she pushed through with it and we received a subpar performance with little energy, annoying/unimpressive choreo, maaany mistakes with lip syncing, dancers in ugly ass huge white outfits, one long red stage (no Barbados on stage like she promised?) and like...that's it? is this really the big comeback to the stage in 7 years only to disappear from it again for a year or so (probably longer)? :toofunny2: she couldn't even properly show that she's pregnant and left many people wondering for the whole duration of her show & after it.

sure, she looked stunning, the setlist was mostly fun and well done (can't forgive PDR/DSTM tho) and I wish her all the best with her children, but like.. girl. This was not the moment it was supposed to be, at ALL :sadviolin:

А baby was definitely not what I thought was coming. But I guess everyone did warn me not to set my expectations so high regarding what’s next in her music career. This was my last sign to really just give up any delusional hopes.

That being said the performance was great considering she was pregnant. I just wanted more. I wanted it to be my favorite Super Bowl performance and it is not. But again…. Theres a whole child in her. Like sis… you just popped one out and now again?

anyways yes I know she’s a human and it’s her own life and she doesn’t owe us anything but I can still be a little sad :dancehall: but I’ll always stick besides ha no matter what

I dont know if you guys can see it , i just saw the cutest video ever

Rihanna performing Diamonds and ASAP recording with his phone from the field

I’m SO sorry but I could absolutely NOT be less bothered by some right wing twitter trolls and ATRL

the show was amazing and the most advanced production ever at a halftime show

Now... the meltdowns, lashings, "she's so unprofessional" comments would've been in full force in this base had she done that. Let's not sfjklsjgl

She should have just told them she’d do it next year. This was a wasted promo tbh.

She's said she's excited to have Barbados on stage because she herself represents Barbados. She never said her show could have a Caribbean theme.

Rih has to be the most hated person on ATRL
Because we the navy don't brag and don't attack other pop girls like the other fan bases and she still gets the most hate

Yeah I never got that she was going to do a Caribbean theme.

If she also let the world know right away that the 2nd baby is coming then nobody would give a ****. The world would easily understand the concept of "putting family first" and if she was meant to do the show next year or later then after the initial disappointment everyone would get over it. Pressed b*ttoms on ATRL do not represent anything

Her halftime show is a MASTERPIECE. It was serving CINEMA from the first shot to the last. It was focused, amazingly edited,  with tight and clean choreography and most important effortlessly confident (just like our girl herself). Halftime shows tend be messy with edits, weird shots, and over stimulating with so many unnecessary things going all at once (which to be honest makes them look more like a dam circus) Hers was classy.... Everything was purposeful and thought out. This forum has such a tunnel vision on what a halftime show should be but shes literally redefining it right in our eyes so im expecting a lot of growing pains with that. Once all the noise (haters, peoples projection on what they want and expected) is gone and accept the show what it is then i wont be surprise this show for being influential in future halftime show.

I ain't lying, the show gets better with each watch. And I hated it the first time

This :cm:

When it comes to Rih, you take what you can get. Yes, I wanted more. But she can always give that “more” when R9 comes around.

While baby #2 is on the way, we can say goodbye to new music this year and dare I say nothing will happen in 2024, too
