Polly Jean Harvey, known as PJ Harvey, is an English musician, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, writer, poet, and composer. She has released 10 solo albums and 2 collaborative albums with John Parish.

She is the only artist to win the Mercury Prize music award twice, and two further nominations.

Eight-time Brit Award nominee.

Eight-time Grammy nominee.

Only the greatest female singer-songwriter of the past 3 decades.

I'll write a proper base post when I have the time! In the mean time, enjoy a legend's iconic album art and some author's suggestions:

Perhaps the best thing about her is that you never get the same thing twice. A goddess.

The albums with John Parish have some of the best work of her career and are hideously slept on by the fanbase

The 4 years later notification...

I'm so ready for a new album!

Which album would you guys recommend to listen to next for someone (me) who adores Let England Shake, but hasn't really warmed to her other stuff yet?

I feel like chronological order makes sense but for me I listened to TBYML after Let England Shake and that was the album that got me hooked.

I'd say White Chalk too. It's closer to Let England Shake sound although WC sounds more reserved to me.

Thanks for the suggestions! I Listened to White Chalk a long, long time ago and I remember it having quite a calming effect on me so I'll do that. I've been meaning to do a deep dive in her discography for the longest time -- I've watched that 'Rid of Me' performance that's linked in the OP sooo many times.
