  • They're aren't going to let this be all you get a listen to lol. This team is very aware. Let them just warm it up.

  • I love how after years of disappointments and lies some fans still get angry at someone questioning this girl's career choices   and please stop pushing this "you want her to do generic pop

In the grand scheme, this is a very random follow for Normani because even when Tate was working with Bankhead, she didn't follow and that was still in the overlap when Normani had Sean make Candy Paint's original choreography that was in the video.

Maybe a collab is on the way.

@jdanton2 The lore on Tomas is that he was a OG harmonizer growing up. He interviewed the Fifth Harmony girls solo a bunch of times so I think it's very deliberate that he was picked for the Grammy Museum thing. It's a friendly journalist they can trust to not ask anything crazy/messy.

i wonder if he's going to ask her new questions (they don't have to be invasive), he did well when he interviewed her for rolling stone in 2024. + i hope the interview is gonna be posted online!

Normani hopefully performing new song if that is true.

Normani keeps promoting this on her IG.

I'm starting to think we're getting an album name, a new snippet, a single date, a record label (or independent) reveal. Just something official about her music career.

She hasn't promoted anything multiple times on her story in YEARS, so this is surprising.

Oh, I'm down for this. Can we please get a pop single?

Additional tea

Also this clip is important cause they acknowledge "wild side video" as the last thing we've seen Normani in. So dopamine was def getting the "here damn" treatment.

The next era is going to be a proper one with a budget it seems.

tonight was beautiful y'all djjdjd i don't have the words. i will always stand ten toes down behind this girl and it feels good knowing she loves me right back heart

This is for y'all @WheresJay @wildsidenormani

She knows and gets it. Normani did get set tf up, your tea leading up to the era was correct though just label and contracted bs happened.

-

Also whoever gave that tea on Distance was 100% correct. Last minute add on confirmed and it booted a bop off the album apparently 💔

Also, Lydia wanted All Yours to be the lead single.

Unsourced so take with a grain of salt but Normani allegedly implied that she is out of RCA

I mean, this has been confirmed since she was pulled off of their website lol.

Her guest stint on X-Factor airs tonight:

Simon look happy asf, I'm crying. eli

Also SUPER ALLEGED TEA (from someone who attended the grammys thing) below this spoiler about what happened during Dopamine and what Lydia was alluding to when she says "a lot of contracts and things were already in place before she joined the team"

Brandon (her former manager) ruined things for Normani. Lots of unethical business practices. Administrative work that was supposed to have been completed were not.

- Split sheets were lost

- People were not paid properly for their work on the album

- Agreements were made on Normani's behalf without her knowledge etc…

Lydia walked into a MESS. It was awesome to hear her (kinda) speak on it yesterday. When she said she came onboard and agreements and contracts were already in place.

That sucks because it could have an effect on if songwriters and producers want to work with her in the future. It probably has already burned some relationships behind the scenes.

Lydia is a real one for continuing to champion Mani despite what sounded like a grueling process trying to clean up Brandon's mess. I believe her when she says Mani will be in our face, as we're already starting to see it

Allegedly Brandon set Normani up for failure. I'm not surprised if true!

Normani helped S10 get off the ground from day 1, then he stopped prioritizing her as soon as S10 got clout off her back.

Just nasty.

So nice to hear all this! It's obvious her past manager screwed so many things up. Which is upsetting. But we've seen her more these past few months than we ever had before - that's a good thing. Let's hope they start the new era this year and please let's hope Normani allows Lydia to pick the singles.

FINALLY!

It's crystal clear that NDAs, industry etiquette, and setting up a firm landing elsewhere are what have kept them quiet, but this is the exact degree of candidness that helps her personal PR.

Being honest like this positively massages her perception with the GP. I get that outright JoJo honesty may not have been in Mani's best interest if still angling to exist in the major label system post-RCA. But she reclaims her power from the haters and educates the confused by giving some semblance of context. The radio silence allowed others to make her a punchbag and a punchline.

The apparent Brandon tea is my kind of reveal, because it's extremely nuanced in a way that makes the extent of her awkward position make so much more sense.

Piecing together things, I get the vibe...

  • The deals in place probably mandated that x number of songs by x producers/writers HAD to be on the album. Probably explains why she seemed somewhat laissez-faire about some of the music on the album.

  • Missing split sheets is crazy. It may sound like a small thing, but it means any song in that mix-up almost certainly is subject to possible legal action if one writer "felt" they did more than credited for. Imagine that song is now synced in a commercial (like Candy Paint headphone ad), that's chaos waiting to happen.

  • I actually am not convinced it's totally a Brandon-only thing. I really geek out over titles. Yes, he was her manager, and it's clear her whole career under him was mismanaged (deals, label liaisons, etc). While that can be a very vast and all-encompassing role, it doesn't always have legal remit over the label/music. Mani was signed to RCA via Tunji's subsidiary, which then folded even before Wild Side, IIRC. Who's to say contractual agreements over who she had to work with, who was guaranteed slots on the album, splits, etc. weren't tethered to the Tunji era and had to be upheld when she was absorbed into RCA?

  • All of the above probably affects the visual aspect too

IMO, the present feels like:

* She is off RCA (this much I feel I even had confirmed offline)

* Not convinced she's had a new label this whole time; they were probably shopping a deal. As of now, they're talking like something is in place. Very interested in who it could be. Another major? Jive recently relaunched. Uptown Records relaunched. Could she do a Raye and go the premium indie route?

* They are lining up the right endorsement partnerships to properly fund the vision. Not sure I buy that she has the kind of leverage needed to yield a huge deal at a new label. What feels more plausible is a "decent" deal, which, if they're on it, will be more of a label services partnership and gives her lots of flexibility re what she records, who she works with, and when it's allowed to drop. It'll likely be a light investment with flexibility to plug in brands for video placement to fund the type of visuals she's trying to create.

* The 5H reunion is clearly happening and she will use it as the springboard for her solo return. I think we need to manage expectations about what that means for the "when". It's August and there's no 5H announcement of yet. So, realistically, any kind of tour is looking like next year. Earliest end of this year. With that, if Mani is using it to her benefit, her ish will be after. Most we may get is a new label announcement.

* More performances for visibility and coin $.
