PnP was released one day before my 17th birthday and I was soo hyped to claim a RAP Song like Lookin' Ass, Chi-Raq & Yass-Bish ... I still can't listen to PnP without feeling sad about my destroyed expectations (thankfully will.i.am's it's my birthday leaked at that day and my birthday party was a blast).

i loved pills n potions. still do

 

but i remember it was like a radio premiere and then the song was only available on soundcloud for hours. all of the single releases for pinkprint were botched 

and she delayed anaconda a week for the flawless remix only for that to also be a soundcloud exclusive  

OMG I haven't heard Flawless Remix in a while. That was a moment! And that Lil Kim remix after that...

i still remember the pure HYPE surrounding lookin ass. it’s video, the respect she regained from hip hop heads, malcolm x daughter coming at her. she was so powerful and so unbothered, what a time

 

sky dweller check, hellacopter pad, dropping off a body bag also came around this time, a classic 

 

you have to remember that album-wise we were coming off her pop era so pills and potions sounded…. mature, in a good way, in comparison to starships et al despite still being popnika

Oh my gosh I was just thinking the other day about how the Barbz were having meltdowns when Anaconda leaked in low quality, talking about how Nicki shouldn’t release it

I fully remember everything with Anaconda. WHAT A MOMENT to be a stan. 

From the cover, to the leak, to the video, to the song peaking at #2. What a wild ride

PnP was every girl’s prom lineup song over here. 

I wasn't a regular in this base back then but I remember Anaconda "leaking" on Youtube but it was that unreleased song called Make A Baby. And I'm pretty sure everyone in the comments thought it was Anaconda 

She should’ve went to the Met Gala. Ain’t like she in the studio finishing NM5.
