Trump supporters not understanding that journalism is about bringing information to the public makes sense because they literally do not care about reality or what's true or not, they're literally in a cult. From what he said it's quite clear this was politically motivated and that the trump administration is very attuned to singling out and making an example out of any leftwing influencer if the biggest one out can get it. Celebrity worship is quite funny. Watching people hate on someone for their thoughts about THEIR family member is quite interesting. Especially during an anti-trans political climate at that. Wonder which side of the aisle these people end up on.

One big problem with that: people were talking about gay people, gay marriage and whether they support it and talking about whether having them in those shows was okay. People weren't watching queers at night and going "blimey! They're just like me!" all the time, people were getting into arguments with their parents about "those queers on TV again" and the average daily contention of being a minority in the spotlight. No public pushback will always lead to a backslide. People stopped seeing public draggings of conservatives on the internet, instead the public draggings were turned around and the gamergate advent of anti-sjw era style impact has made it's earnings quite apparent. Now we have millions of young men going from "family guy comp no.30" to "stupid white feminist crybaby owned!" or "why women deserve less" and whatever other shorts garbage youtube & tiktok's algo is pushing these days. We had somewhat of an arm on the internet who would have regular debates with right-wing homophobes or did street interviews with regular people(unfortunately lots of people DO watch that crap) and if there aren't "smart, cool" leftwing people doing those things then there won't be much incentive to entice the current crop of young men(currently 13-17) from becoming the same dangerous level of right-wing sympathetic that gen-z ones have become. We have some streamers but that's not anywhere near enough. It's basically too late now though, the media space is pretty concretely locked in with Trump in America.

Famously beneficial rhetoric that worked out well for Kamala in America: "yes, you're right, those brown people sure are a problem!" Does anyone know if saying the right-wing have a point lead to the normalization of the lie and strengthening of the right-wing swing in a population? I feel like there should be some historical and current pretext for this that someone as educated as Starmer should have access to(or maybe his inhaling of Trump's farts was ideologically motivated instead of diplomatically motivated?)

Anyone that has disparaged leftists who have seen and been SHOUTING about the institutional ROT of the DNC need to reconfigure, "why do the people I disagree with continue to be vindicated?" Liberalism is unable to deal with fascism, especially not the kind of politically illiterate liberalism the DNC has. A bunch of uncharismatic, elderly, boring, unchanging, backtracking and never sticking to wishes of their constituents anti-modern corporate hacks that just wanted to get rich doing nothing and acting like their voters owe them for deigning to be as useless as they have been. And that embarrassing gender equality excuse is beyond parady, they literally are SNL sketch liberals.

I agree on the sentiment of being anti-Jubilee BUT- I cannot stress enough that debating and humiliating is how we got gay acceptance in the 2000s(and also it's just generally fun to make fun of conservatives.) The strength of the right-wing are young men and if you want to limit that power, you have to have an aggressive propaganda arm of leftwing people eager to fight and destroy conservatives on camera round the clock. The left has regressed and thus the right has dominated the narrative(obviously that's also due to media being right-wing controlled and the billionaires being aligned with the right-wing for close to a decade now.)

Let's also be very clear here: the men who had a strong rejection to kamala but have the political knowledge & competency of a grape were not ideologically opposed to her. There wasn't enough time nor was there information to do that. That was just pure vibes and misogyny. That is, the men who taught "the economy" but believe it was better under trump. Or "wanting the wars to end" meanwhile he endorsed more war measures than Biden ever has and promises to acquiesce to foreign powers in general other than Israel. Or those who thought her policies were "bad" meanwhile trump has "concepts of a plan" are just plain hiding their powerlevels. They just want to hurt others through trump. The promise of retributive harm was the driver.

The closest I'd believe is 4 BUT I know it's going to be worse than 2016. They've gotten MORE extreme and evil. This is not going to be the same trump administration that fumbled their way through. He has handlers now and his cognition has declined significantly. He's much more manipulatable and the agenda is fascism. I expect an end to basic privileges Biden afforded Americans and a rise in activity from enemies ala China & Russia. Israel has the full go ahead to continue their campaign of anti-muslim reich star.

I do think Trump has a unique appeal, to deny this would be folly BUT the dems have a clear blindspot in combating his rhetoric. They always choose the wrong path and when they get it right(harris & walz's "weird" slogan) they run it back and are chastised by the old guard for "lacking decorum." The problem, as it was in 2016, is the failure of liberalism to address the fascist beacon.
