Perhaps there was a time that she felt like shelving the album or deleting some of the songs, but I suspect that would have been in 2023, when she wrote that e-mail about living with heartbreak again. I'm not expecting a deletion now.

Maybe she wants to reach 28 before she considers the work complete? To be able to speak to the entire year like a full cycle, or relating it to a saturn return?

 

I imagine she's locked in to whatever the concept is at this point. That moment she reflected on probably changed a lot of the work, though.

At this point we waited so much that "next year" isn't even that far away  like only 4 months left... So i'm ok with everything

I need to see Lorde live again. Reminiscing on being barricade while she sang ribs right to me and the energy of the crowd during that song.

I've been thinking for a long time that it might be October or November. But if that last picture in the studio in mid August is any indication, that would seem to suggest November might be the earliest and releasing in the same week as US elections on 5th November might not be the best time anyway. Late season album releases are not unknown, the following albums were all released in December:

• Charli XCX - Pop 2 - mid December
• Little Simz - No Thank You - mid December
• SZA - SOS - early December

But if we have to wait until 2025, then 2025 probably doesn't mean the first week of the year.

Nothing much happens in the first few weeks of the year, so if there is nothing this year, maybe it's 5-6 months away.

Those bruise pics are a bit alarming, especially without context. With the imaging disc it seems like a medical procedure. Hope she is okay! Assuming she wouldn't post unless it had been mostly resolved. Also, the use of L4 symbols would be out of place if it weren't intended to be another hint. 

That being said, the location of all those images look like LA. Wondering if that was part of a trip she took a while ago, around the time she shared the image sunbathing at that hotel? Or in the same trip as the spit photos? She has been in NYC quite a lot, and more recently it seems (at least for the sweat tour appearance).

At first I thought it was makeup for a music video shooting or something before seeing the medical CD

If you go back a few pages in this thread, maybe around pages 11 and 12, both the spit picture and the sunbathing photo appear to be from Chateau Marmont in June, which is also where she did some of her Melodrama release promotion. She has been to London and back to LA (at least once) since June.

 

Also, I don't want to raise false hopes, but we are getting close to two months from mid August, which was when we saw the last photo of her and one of her producers together in the studio.
