Fan promo does not work cause it is like an echo chamber: almost everyone who would get to see the promo knows about the song and doesn't care about listening to it 

 

That kind of stuff only works when your fanbase is at least X2 the size of Gaga's now and full of people under 20 who haven't switched from stanning to casual fans (BTS, sometimes Taylor Swift, Gaga in her imperial phase aka TF-BTW)

 

People grow up and stop worrying about listening parties, buying multiple copies of a song on iTunes or having likeminded friends  who can spend so much time and effort on supporting an artist. Not really, it's just that Gaga hasn't made any efforts to create a new real stanbase of lonely teenagers willing to waste a lot of their time and energy for the position of a song. Some have grown up to still be huge fans but worry less about the charts and especially massive listening parties etc, others have become just casual stans and a very small minority have the drive of, let's say, most BTS fans to promote Gaga. Every artist goes through this, Gaga is 36 and she won't have another fan mania ridden album. Fans will still go to her concerts and consume her music, but won't worry about that stuff cause they are...living adult lives

My friend and I got super high last night and we listened to Chromatica. I have been trying for nearly 10 years to make her like Gaga and last night I finally achieved it with this album!
