If you copy/paste the Billboard article url into this site: https://12ft.io it'll take the paywall down (I would copy-paste the unpaywalled url myself but it doesn't actually link to anything). But the article itself doesn't really say much of anything tbh, it's just namedropping Gaga, Bruno, the higher-ups at Interscope and Atlantic, and talking about nebulous corporate bullshit without saying any actual concrete strategy

The playlisting on so many Hot Hits playlists is downright tragic  We're lucky the public is finding it on their own since it's connecting.

It'll be like #10 on the country chart, and #50 on the HH playlist.  It has me very worried about LG7 lead promotion.

 

(And it's not just Spotify.. It's also already begun sliding down the Apple Music playlists despite being #1 globally for weeks.)

It seems like radio is picking up again though, which is great. The unfortunate side is that it's going so slowly that it won't even be close to a radio peak by the time LG7 lead drops.

On the other hand, songs nowadays tend to be bigger when the artist has another hit at the same time. DWAS smashing simultaneously may give LG7 lead legs!

Based on the 28-day window, yeah. But like I mentioned a few days ago, monthly listeners were decreasing for all artists across the board because of Spotify removing fake accounts for some time last month and that bled into the sixth day of DWAS (which is when she had her first positive update since release of +7M, probably a cumulative one?) so I'm curious to see if the rolling will be delayed as well.

 

Even if she starts rolling tomorrow, a 91.4M listeners peak is beyond anybody's wildest imaginations and further cements her organic and seamless transition into a streaming giant. And there's still JFAD OST and LG7 on the way that will boost her count again

That's my hope, and maybe they're factoring in the inevitable holiday freeze that will impact LG7 lead. It's going to stall around 30M AI and then fall as we near the holidays before rebounding in January.

 

On the other hand, DWAS should already be nearing the Top 10 and be able to withstand the holiday onslaught and give her exposure in the gap until LG7 lead can really move up in Q1.

18 Oct is BR anniversary week.
