So HMH is starting to smash in Australia and Canada? Usually that means it's going to hit in the US as well

Hopefully it does have some organic growth over the weekend/week and we start to see some positive movement. Honestly, if the 1R song is also starting to take off, that would only be good for HMH, just like how TMBA and DZ smashed simultaneously.

Y'all screaming her team is stuck in 2010... Do you really think they haven't tried getting it on TTH? They have research and stats we don't have access to. You act like her team and Interscope don't even know it exists, when they had no problem getting great playlisting for ASIB and Chromatica tracks. There's clearly a reason it's not on TTH, there's just no way of knowing what that reason is lol.

Chromatica and ASIB were much bigger deals because these were her debut film and studio album.

I know she will not get TTH placement with every release but they should try whenever there’s potential, and Hold My Hand does have it. 911 had viral potential and they did nothing. There was also another messy thing that happened with 911 and Chormatica II streams I don’t remember very well. Theres plenty proof her team is not that competent when it comes to streaming and Tik Tok.

I can never tell if you are trolling or being serious with your posts :rip:

What the **** made you think its "beginning to smash in Australia and Canada"? It entering the top 200 on AM Canada? :skull:

Honestly, I think they either are playing the long-game and will push for playlisting in the coming weeks, or want to focus on the older demo TG:M and this kind of song would appeal to, hence the radio push. They could also just not care as much as stans do about this song being a huge hit.

Welp I guess not everything clicks with the gp

I don't know what we are so obssesed with HMH playlisting and its streaming numbers while at the same time she is selling out an stadium tour.

:rip:

We can still count with an Oscar performance and it going #1 after that :eli:

not really but maybe a top10?

I think radio should (hopefully) be able to carry it to Top 40 in the coming weeks but we'll see.

Oh wow, that’s actually great. Now we just need Spotify to follow since it’s already smashing digital sales and doing pretty good on CAN radio. :gaycat3:

Girl it is NOT smashing in Canada or Australia. It is doing well on itunes there. That's it. It just now rose a bit in Canadian Apple Music...but not enough to say it is becoming an actual hit...far from it. In addition, her team IS in fact terrible streaming wise. Even with Chromatica and ASIB her playlist reach was still subpar for the level of success it was getting and in comparison to other big artist releases. I think it's ok to finally simply admit that her team is really REALLY tragic when it comes to streaming and before. I mean they didn't even know how to report her 911 music videos stream properly to billboard which caused the song not to chart AT ALL on billboard during the mv release week when it had enough points to chart in the lower end :rip: (not that it matters much but you get the point).

yeah they reported the streams from the 911 mv for the Chromatica 2 interlude which basically wasted all the mv streams which ended up making 911 not chart on the hot 100 at all.

So this is how other mpgs original songs were doing during their respective movie releases:

Billie Eilish - No Time To Die 457,611 (007)

Ariana Grande - Just Look Up 402,138 with TTH (Don't Look Up)

Bey - Be Alive 119,098 (King Richards)

Taylor Swift - Beautiful Ghosts 69,113 (Cats)

Lady Gaga - Hold My Hand 780,935 (Top Gun: Maverick)

One of those is not like the others :swan:

NTTD won at the end but still:swan:

And I don't even want to make it seem like I'm defending her team or her label, because I'm not. She can genuinely do better. But they're also not incompetent and they clearly have a strategy for every release of hers that involves data and numbers that we don't know.

There's also no point for Interscope to keep paying for playlisting placements if the song isn't using its current playlisting in a beneficial way. And as I said a couple days ago, Interscope isn't like Capitol. They don't waste money to keep dead songs alive on radio or TTH. They prefer organic success, and when they do shell out payola and the song doesn't respond positively to it, they drop it and move on.

NTTD gets a pass because it was like a 1.5 year old song or something :rip: but yeah the others were tragic.

He's an ex-Interscoper too. And now he joins another Interscoper to build a new label.

Spirit was indeed feature during the film and the HIVE will lie and say it wasn’t or that is wasn’t played that long when the fact is that adult Simba running home to fight Mafusa is arguably the most iconic and memorable part of the film and that’s the scene Spirit is played on. :toofunny3:
