She has an amazing ear for melodies and has written tons of hits across her career. Max only did finishing touches for SL (and clearly he thought it was good) and PI was never that great. Fun bop for us fans and it has some good ideas, but let's be real it's not a flawless song. If there's one pRoBlEm, it's that she doesn't follow her gut more. So many artistic issues with Joanne and Chromatica feel like they come down to Gar doubting herself and being scared of falling on her face again post-Artpop, causing her to water down her music to try and please everyone.
