Regarding HL, they need to stand out and make a name for themselves or it just looks disingenuous to the beauty community.  No one needs another MAC Cosmetics or Fenty, or another clean brand selling safe neutrals.  They need to do something that other brands can't do or else it's just the first launch all over again.
