She has a habit of performing at private events which I feel like is beneath her (I get once in awhile like Bey/Rih) and plus it's not as if she's strapped for cash. I wouldn't be surprised if she does it mainly for her band/team to get paid given that she doesn't tour that often and that's how most of them would otherwise make their money. Philanthropist Tricon 

I've always had the sense that her dad funnels a lot of money out under the guise of 'business' expertise or whatever (tbt monster ball tour bankruptcy) and she trusts him implicitly. I'm sure his desperation for coin has influenced her many times with brand deals and the like - the 2015 speech about how she hates shilling perfumes was such a weird moment of clarity among it all.
