She lowkey did this with Joanne though, just not quite as quick as B'Day which was apparently recorded in two weeks or something. She started working originally on LG5 in 2015 but once she started over with the new concept pretty much all of the songs (sans Angel Down) were written and recorded in spring/early summer of 2016 and she fixed mixing in September.

ROM, Babylon, Replay, and Enigma can go head-to-head or flat out stomp a ton of the dance revival pop bops from the last few years. And Chromatica is really, really good as an album. Fad's "lesser" work is still better than most mainstream pop.

She’s doing well, but every era since Born This Way has definitely had somewhat muted reception critically, and by fans, as well as a lack of smash hits.
