I know Eras are not like they used to be back in the days but if you want to build a world around your album and give people contents you surely can.

 

Dua for example I think is doing an amazing job right now with her being everywhere doing interviews, late-night talk shows, major magazines, different and exciting versions of Houdini, changing the aesthetic and building hype around the new record.

 

Of course I don't expect Gaga doing all the things Dua is doing, she has already done that but I need her to put a little effort to make it special. 

 

I trust her, let's see.

I'm not taking critics reviews seriously when they were gagging over THAT song and lashing PI in 2016. Its all based on narrative and she was a beloved queen in 2020 post-ASIB vs a fad in 2016 post-ARTPOP.

While I agree that eras work different now, she needs to release at least 4 singles this time. These short ass eras she's been doing are killing her overall streams and we deserve more for once.

She wasn't forced to make Chromatica, anyone who has followed her closely since 2018 knows that she indeed was in a difficult place physically and mentally during that time, it makes perfect sense for her to make an album like that because she was depressed and wanted to get out from that phase.

Artists like Dua are doing all this promo because they're hungry to establish their careers for the long term. Gaga is wayyyyy past that point. Moving forward, I'm expecting Gaga to go down the Beyonce route of just dropping an album and going on tour.

 

She should just drop her album now in 2024 and capitalize on Joker to sustain album longevity.

In Stupid Love's defense I don't see any other song on Chromatica except Rain On Me being a smash on the charts.

 

Maybe because all of the other tracks feel like deep cuts to us now.

I'm not surprised because Gaga fans a lot of times are misunderstanding what she says, she just wanted to explain how her mind back then was sort of like in a weird place and I'm sure it was also because she was tired of having those fibro flames and trauma. Making an album like Chromatica was eventually a very healing experience for her because after she was done with it, she started saying how nowadays she feels much better.

Gaga didn't want to film the video alone with the girls filming their parts alone like they did Ice Cream

Alice would've been a great lead single and whoever defending Stupid Love you guys know damn well that song should've been scrapped the moment it leaked. Love Me Right should've been included instead

No one will believe me but I think Free Woman could have been a decent lead single. It sounded good on French radio, especially with the additional chorus. It also would have been a real surprise after Stupid Love leaked. Replay, however, was the best option imo and a perfect introduction to the album's sound and lyrical themes.

 

Honestly, any Chromatica track was going to benefit from the ASIB high Gaga was riding on. Stupid Love just fizzed out because everyone and their mama was already familiar with it.
