Thats so funny and I feel validated that I wasn’t alone in the disappointment

Gaga really only has 1 droplet single that isn’t a part of a bigger project, The Cure.

Sure, it may have been a scrapped song for ASIB, but it was sold as a quick lil standalone single

I forget about this song existing all the time, but it was a really exciting moment. I stayed up til 3am to watch her Coachella performance and was so surprised when she performed this song.

a cute lil bop

SAME it hit me hard cuz it was really a surprise and i was already staying up really late for her. I remember streaming the song NONSTOP for 2 hours after the performance ended, waking up and streaming it NON STOP again for the whole day. I don't think it's in my top 5 fav songs from her, but it's the only song that i've ever streaming nonstop for a whole day. It was literally a curse for several weeks stuck in my head.

I remember the disappointment when we saw the lyric video and then when we didn't get a video for it, we knew it was a quick lil promotional single, but it was her first and after Joanne it was so FRESH to listen to it.

I still stream The Cure, it reminds me of how fun my spring 2017 was.

A week after the song came out I was at my college’s library writing a paper. And there was a girl at another computer listening to The Cure on repeat on her headphones. It was so loud everyone in the area could hear it. I honestly was surprised that other people listened to Gaga’s songs on repeat. I should of introduced myself to her, but I was too shy back then :bird:

360k :noparty: I still think it will eventually rise in streams again, though.

Her playlisting is always tragic. It's so impressive that she still manages to have those insane numbers.

MTE could be better but I can’t complain. I’m gonna assume it will pick up every summer/pride month. :duca:

I wouldn't be so sure about pride, this year it was the #1 song on Spotify biggest pride playlist and the boost was super underwhelming. I think it will either rise slowly every year (like some of her biggest classics did) or go semi viral on tiktok and get stable above 500k.

It's so camp and quintessentially Gaga. It's one of those songs that no one else could pull off

Venus was camp before camp was in. Aged better than DWUW.
