I’m not ATRL sis, I’m here rarely. Also, I’ve said it’s a Grammy winning smash for a reason. ROM is not a solid pop bop. It’s a dance song with immaculate production taking from mid and late 90’s music. The sample it has was brilliantly incorporated, which can’t be said about many recent songs, incl Beyonce’s BMS. It was critically acclaimed for the message and production as well. It’s so much more than a simple bop.

Not releasing any singles after was such a mistake. Especially in the UK where Stupid Love was actually a hit and Rain On Me was bigger here than any other country they just let the era die. So many songs from Chromatica would’ve fit right into UK radio. Alice, Free Woman (French Radio Version) and Sour Candy were begging to be spammed on radio in summer 2020. Alice was even Top 30 on album release and there was multiple more Top 40 if they weren’t ineligible because of the chart rules.

 

I’ve went off on a tangent but I’ll never get over the era not reaching it’s full potential in the UK cause this album was our favourite sound and she probably won’t do it again for a while.

True but even then, she was never a full on radio darling like Rihanna. Applause being her biggest radio hit when she has smashes like Shallow or BR is kinda a joke. She never reached the heights of idk Rihanna or Taylor Swift on radio I guess it's because Gaga songs are usually too loud for radio

peope are dumb, these was a video with just dance instrumental and people were asking what song, and when i answered just dance, they were like, not it sounds like two songs mixed together, like bi**h, ive given you an answer
