As i said last month, the intro is a factor for the skip rate, the song is bipolar on playlists/not doing that well on them; but growing in streams every week. this must be confusing for curators. the song reached new peaks in countries this week, but gets moved down their playlists. Only in Taiwan is there no discrepancy. The movie imo is still the main vehicle for growth

People skip songs because they KNOW what’s coming after is audio-toxic. Not just because the intro itself is “bad”. The research article you keep spamming doesn’t imply that a “bad” intro leads to an instant skip.

Hopefully we can snatch a top 40 hit with Hold My Hand eventually. At this point it's not gonna be a hit, but the better it does the bigger the chances of HMH winning an Oscar are

Also, that means nothing. How do we know people aren't just skipping it because it's a Gaga song or because they don't care to listen to the song in general? The skip rate being highest at the beginning of the song is literally meaningless no matter what the intro was.

Half the people that are going to skip a song do so in the first 5 seconds. Again, the intro has nothing to do with the skip rate. So stupid that anyone even tried using that as an argument for low playlisting, or went out of their way to find it out lmao.

The intro does play a role. I invite you to PopA911 to learn more about what that member does.

Oh. And I went to see Pixar’s Lightyear yesterday. No original song. One down.

I wonder where TCB will rank in the year-end tours per show. She already made 80M and the last shows are like 2 months and a half away

 

So far she's making an average of 4,5M per show which it's bonkers and it might rise up to 5M

Not gonna be a hit when it’s already top 50/40 in some countries… I know you don’t like the song but come on. It doesn’t mean that it is not good and that other people don’t like it. It’s in fact a good song and it gives so many feelings.

At first I was like, "wait that's it? " but then I remembered that it was launched only last year in SK. It's still a huge music market anyway (7th largest according to IFPI 2021 global report) so hopefully it can be a cute hit there
