It's like her team put on shuffle and that's how they decided which songs to release I swear to god. Usually if an artist releases a song week of the album, that's the song they push during release week. Lighthouse is good but no one wants to be listening to it in the summer. It gives middle of the winter vibes. This feels like a very fall/winter album which is also the problem, should've been released in October or November. They need to push Down to You or High Road during release week... but I fear it's too late.

Lighthouse sounds gorgeous live. I agree this song needs to be heard so I'm glad it's out there. I could see them circling back to it as a fall single. I'm still floored by skip this part. It's a masterpiece. I don't see it as a single but just, wow. 
 

I also agree it would be great to push a second single that is higher energy for summer. I'm not going to reopen a can of worms on FKOH... but I would love to have down to you as a single as I think it has the right vibe. high road is a bop but I prefer down to you because Kelly wrote it and I want the music she wrote herself to get the list attention. 

 

 

 

I haven't listened to the album, but the live Lighthouse is gorgeous omg.  And heartbreaking.  I think lyrically this is my favorite on the album so far.  But this is just based on what's been officially released and what I remember from Belasco.

Does anyone else find Zane Lowe annoying!? Would have liked them to talk more about the album and her musical

process rather than just delving into her personal life.

I actually prefer the studio version, it is more atmospheric and ethereal if it makes sense. But that is an unpopular opinion I think, so take that as you will haha

I think he is fine, but likewise I would've also preferred them to delve more into the album and each song rather than personal life stuff. I mean, that is cool and interesting but I was really expecting this interview to go in depth about the actual music. eh

that really was one of his worst interviews...at some point i thought he was high or something (what was the point of playing the guitar all of a sudden?)

I know right?! Totally agree with you. The interview was meh, no new information was relayed and they sparsely talked about the music. Besides, Zane Lowe was just a bit off in a weird way. Getting up when you’re talking to somebody who’s telling you quite personal stuff when your job is to listen and interview them and then randomly start picking a guitar is somewhat odd and rude, I feel. To me it feels like he wants to be cool but fails trying.

It was planned, but I was told that The Voice, Fallon and WWHL were canceled due to the strike.

 

The Voice was going to be the only televised performance, btw. She really just doesn't wanna sing.

The studio version is good. I think the vocal is a bit more forward in the live version because of mixing. But it sounds great in studio. This album is probably the most interchangeable between the live versions and the studio. The only song from Belasaco I've seen that was a notable improvement in the live setting was RFC.

She’s filming WWHL today. Will probably air next week.
