Being a fan of this wonderful woman is incredibly unfortunate, and I mean that literally. If she hadn’t already given so much, I’d be more pissed. But the bare minimums are so bare that they’re not even minimum. If she’s too cheap, hire fans/fan sites to manage your legacy. They’re already doing the best with the least.

So over a decade later UMG/Janet's team has finally made the following videos available worldwide on Janet's official youtube channel a few hours ago. There are still a few issues regarding correct song titles and videos that need to be sorted out though. 

 

Got 'Til It's Gone (was previously only blocked in the US & Serbia while available for the rest of the world)

 

Someone To Call My Lover (incorrectly titled as the remix featuring Jermaine Dupri when it's actually the original version - previously only available in Canada & Japan while blocked for the rest of the world)

 

I Want You (previously only available in Canada & Japan while blocked for the rest of the world)

 

If (All Dance Version) (incorrectly titled as Just A Little While despite the thumbnail showing it's from that song - previously only available in Canada & Japan while blocked for the rest of the world) - I don't know if UMG or Janet's team will fix this particular one but the easy solution would be to update to the correct song title and change the thumbnail rather than try to replace the entire video upload.

 

Call On Me (was previously only available in about 10-12 countries, US excluded)

 

The following videos from the Velvet Rope era have yet to be unblocked and made available worldwide though

I really hope that they actually fix it for the Velvet Rope 25th Anniversary in a few weeks, but again not gonna hold my breath for it given how disappointing Janet's anniversary eras are lately.

Let’s not forget that “I Get Lonely’s” thumbnail has been a picture of Beverly Knight for 11 years. So ******* embarrassing. 

If the SuperBowl are really scouting for a female artist for 2023 they need to get their asses in gear and just ask Janet. People have been waiting for her to have a second chance and also maybe it will give her a kick up the backside and force her to start the Black Diamond era in Q1 2023.

Someone To Call My Lover no longer has the JD Remix mentioned in the title, just "Someone To Call My Lover (Offical Video)".

Don't forget the original version of Anytime, Anyplace is still missing on her youtube channel as the R. Kelly remix has always been labeled as the official video for it on there sadly. Add in the original Flyte Tyme single version of Son Of A Gun too as the current upload is the P. Diddy remix.

 

Ironically on Janet's official dailymotion channel, the original versions of both videos is on there along with All Nite (Don't Stop) as well as Alright, Just A Little While and Together Again. It seems like her Dailymotion channel is managed better than her youtube channel as sad as that is.

I feel like those mistakes are minor in the grand scheme of things and will probably never be fixed sadly. Would be nice if eventually they upload the original version of Any Time, Any Place tho especially since the song is one of her most popular in the streaming era.

 

Interesting that Dailymotion has All Nite and Alright since both videos WERE on Janet's channel years and years ago but removed.

The Black Cat thumbnail is worse though. Bad lighting
