I was listening to Tell Me You Love Me, Unbroken and DEMI using headphones, and then listened to TAOSO and HOLY ****. It's sad that the mixing for TAOSO is a bit muddy while in HF it's so bad (amazing albums but I miss how her vocal mixing was done before especially with TMYLM) where her vocals are crisp and mesh well with the production. Even in extremely processed pop tracks like Unbroken, Sexy Dirty Love, Daddy Issues, Neon Lights, Fire Starter and Hold Up her vocals are mixed really well. And as much as I both love TAOSO and HF I have this sudden interest and satisfaction hearing her older records.

I'm SO confused by the direction she's gonna take with this new album. 

She used to tease and post R&B on insta like a year ago, but now she keeps posting dance songs + the Euphoria leak. What is going on?  

 

I don't want her to follow the Euphoria sound. Even if the snippet is a banger, it sounds dated compared to current dance music. It's too European imo, and I've never been a huge fan of this. The latest song she shared, Diamonds on my Teeth, sounds so freaking good tho. If she delivered dance music like this, I would eat it up.

I think Oak is a big part of this… they had some magic on the TMYLM sessions in terms of vocal production, but his vocal production on DWTDTAOSO, HF, Revamped, and Chula is mid to bad in some sections. Revamped is the worst for me. Strangely, I can even hear the Oak production/mixing/vocal production on that small snippet of Euphoria.
 

I actually like the vocal production on songs Mitch Allan did on DWTDTAOSO compared to Oak's songs. DWTD, Carefully, MHLN, Change You, TWYDLAM >>>>> then Oak's vocal production…
 

it's difficult because DWTDTAOSO and HF have some of the highest highs as well. 
 

honestly, I think Oak and Demi just need some creative space. I hope he hasn't done a majority of the new album…
 

 

It seems that the sentiment has swung back to positive for Demi online, with the right material she could get a hit again.

We need an emoji with a tear, because her voice really lends itself to this European club style.

She needs to release a full album filled with Cool For The Summer, Heart Attack, Sorry Not Sorry type songs. Euphoria fits right within that sound. That's what the people want from her!

Euphoria would be better as a DJ collab. 

 

As I said before, Euphoria is probably scrapped. Demi leaks never go anywhere, the stuff that make it to her albums never leak.

I disagree. Pop recession that is upbeat and danceable is making a comeback. Songs like Euphoria is what the masses want right now. If anything, it would be on trend lol not outdated.

I think it's because of the sample... idk, I liked it but I'd rather get something like the Diamonds on my Teeth song she posted. One thing is sure, she's working on dance music. 

 

Have you guys listened to any R&B/Dance music in the past years? I think that could be the sound she goes for this era considering the music she's teasing.
