i think this is the album that everyone wants and also the one we're not going to get. the thing about all this recent activity is i feel like she still thinks that a commercial comeback is on and that can end up being a good album but i don't really think it's going to be a really brave one

I was hoping it was mostly finished

With Roger finally gone I had high hopes that they were putting a plan together to get her back on the charts, but all this waffling between producers and the constant "I'm still writing" posts makes it seem like she's lost creatively. We need a droplet or something stat, it's been almost 2 years since her last song

I dunno what the holdup is, unless she wanted to add some breakup songs to the album or the label wanted something more, I still hope it's almost finiched though

I get your point, but I don't think she's lost. The aesthetic she's been teasing has been pretty consistent: the cross necklaces, the studio pics, etc.
Some people might think it's very organic, but I do think that it's all very calculated, which is very exciting. I feel like this is the first era that she's really comitted to it from the beginning. Her new team know what they are doing.
