Angel Billie went up against evil incarnate Sabrina. The good sometimes loses to the bad

 

 

WWIMF cursed the album like EIW did with Happier Than Ever, it's sad because her entire works are amazing. Imagine losing vs... Short and Sweet.  Just proving again that pop judges don't like her, 1/10 nominations.

I really thought she would win Pop Album at least  Sabrina aint got **** on her

 

HMHAS was my AOTY and I'm really sad to see it get snubbed. Billie seemed a little upset as well

I love Billie but she needs to step it up when it comes to TV performances. She slays the ballads/accoustic songs most of the time but she cannot handle full production well. The mixing is terrible every single time, we can barely hear her and the vocals could be better too. She just sways and looks at the floor half the time too.

I was really not a fan of her performance last night. It felt very similar to her Olympics and SNL performances, which were also underwhelming.

 

Like I understand that BOAF was the nominee, but she should have sung Wildflower or a different track to really showcase the album and put her vocal growth on display.

I'm sad she went empty handed. I wanted Birds to win Pop solo or Hit me Hard to win Pop album

 

I'm fine with Beyonce winning AOTY because she 100% deserves it but Billie deserved something on Pop like when Adele won Pop solo for Easy on Me

I love her but this is so true. She even looked bored, then it looked ever weaker after Sabrina, Chappell and Doechii performances

She should have performed Wildflower

 

Compare this Birds performance with the amazing Happier than Ever performance she gave 3 years ago.

Since the album didn't get any award she can submit Wildflower for next year's Grammys in Pop solo, SOTY, ROTY

Ooh I do like the sound of that, but it indeed depends on if she'd want to submit something again from Hmhas and what her music plans are this year. I'm sure her label will make her aware at least that the option exists

Seeing her go empty handed at the Grammys is heartbreaking, but it was against acclaim titans that have been long screwed over by the Academy, don't think it says anything about her potential to do well in the future. 

 

They need to completely switch up their tactic for the next album, I was disappointed by the submissions and the ceremony proved me right. They need to completely abandon the pop categories and make a full rock/alt takeover and have her dominate those categories and use that block to have her sweep the GF. 0/5 in BPSP, 0/2 in BPDGP and 1/3 in BPVA despite having 6 General Field wins feels like it's enough proof that she's wasting her time in these categories versus I think she could actually be genuinely embraced in Rock/Alt and would still have pop support akin to how Bruno has had a chokehold on the Grammys since 24K Magic. Idk what do I know

The pop field doesn't deserve her 

 

But the Grammys consider her a pop artist.

It took years for them to finally let Lana del Rey submit in the alternative categories and she still lost all the alternative categories too

 

But she could try a couple of alternative/rock submissions while also keeping her album in Pop (like Olivia did with GUTS)

Her team's biggest flaw was not diversifying her noms. They put all the stakes into BOAF when they could have easily thrown Chihiro, Wildflower, and even The Greatest in there for different categories. They sorta shot themselves in the foot with that

The show was underwhelming.
The winners did NOT deserve it like AT ALL, over Billie.

She has streamng numbers, charts, acclaim, hits and everything (except #1)
I hope her team learns from the mistakes and does EVERYTHING to go for a #1 when its within reach next time. 
The album and BOAF and even Lunch could've gone #1 (if they tried).

Billie should have won SOTY and ROTY but vote splitting with other pop females didnt help, obviously BOAF is that SONG

Billie losing everything was a shock. I had this gut feeling yesterday that it unfortunately was going to happen. I didn't expect or assume she was gonna win anything big, considering it was such a stacked year. I figured she might actually walk away with bpsp this year, and split the category with Sabrina.

I fear the pop voters truly don't like her. This is like the final nail in the coffin for me.  

it was really hard to watch her cry last night. Not to say she wasn't happy for the winners, but I think she was truly proud of this album. Hate that she has to suffer at the hands of her own team's incompetence sometimes.

 

Album of the year in my heart
