Yeah but I mean, with Lemonade and The Gift we got a clear reference with visuals, symbolism and general look and feel,  and all of that added to the experience of those two albums' concepts. With this one, I still feel we're missing a piece of the puzzle... but maybe it's just because I'm very visual-oriented and I always like to have a sort of moodboard to associate with every era.

 

Anyway, I'm sure something is coming, maybe not a full film but... something.

Well....it seems like it's giving pure innocent fun which is what a lot of us wanted. 

For those who listened, is it safe to say we shouldn't be getting any fake deep think pieces this go 'round? 

I dont think there’s anything wrong with listening to a leak but what’s wrong is spoiling it and taking away the experience of the first listen from many others. You’re feeling ecstatic right now, allow others to feel the same way come Friday

yeah. even though she's done a visual album many times. i hope there are visuals because these songs really deserve to be brought to life

There was one song, I think it was Thique? Maybe I’m wrong but she sounded like a completely different person in one part. It literally sounded like a feature. I was like “Who is this white girl on this track?”

Tbh if we don't get a visual over the weekend it's going to feel incomplete  I know its hard work and probably really taxing but she sort of painted herself into a corner.

Church Girl is NOT what I was expecting  that was the biggest shock to me

Anyway I'm out, I don't want to fill the base with spoilers for those who are waiting till friday. Yall are heroes, I wish I could have your patience... I even had a whole evening planned with a friend of mine coming over on friday just to have our first listen together (we haven't seen each other for years) but we both caved

I understand their POV but I'm also thinking if they REALLY thought this wasn't going to leak they're out of touch. They should've held back physicals until the digital was out. They could've been on shelves by Monday.

Okay the opening Im That Girl was a bit underwhelming but COZY and Alien Superstar are so good  gonna continue with track n5
