So her hints at the rock influences are, and point to:

• Funk/Rock - the Betty Davis look (from her 1970s album - This Is It) - originally referring to Betty Davis with "davis in my bones", also the Betty Davis track on her sir davis insta video (They Say I'm Different)
• Funk/Rock/New Soul - the Prince Halloween look (referencing his 1980s Purple Rain and Apollonia), 
• 70s Rock/Folk Rock - the Betty Black tour (which may reference the old African-American folk song that was later recorded with blues and rock interpretations - most famously known as the rock version from the 70s that now has some racial implications)
• The blues/jazz references from the Ray Charles track playing with her insta video
• The Laisse-Moi Respirer song on her insta video which is a a definite nod to 60s rock

 

 

B'day was heavily influenced by funk/rock/blues as well with tracks like Green Light, Freakum Dress, Suga Mama - we know that Pharrell has been working with Bey, would you guys be here for a Rich Harrison comeback?  I think it would be interesting to see what they could come up with together now

That's also not all there is to promotion. 

Beyoncé just did Halftime and because it happened so late, with zero song on radio and no single out, it had almost zero affect but as fan, it was a beautiful moment to me and I would not trade it. 

Just like I liked the RTW's and 4 eras performances.
