There's a reason the teaser featured Mariachi trumpets and horse-galloping sounds, maybe we'll get an act 2.5 with Spanish influences and a big tour for her fans in Latin America? What was the reason for her trip to Salvador? Just to celebrate the Renaissance Film release over there? There's more to it.

she used some random French words when she performed before, so her using one Spanish word could be the same situation and we shouldn't think too much about it

Whatever the announcement means, I think we should expect a lot of things to come the next couple of months. When she releases something, she puts a lot of things out at the same time and then she disappears for months. I guess that she wants a lot of exposure for her releases. So, I think that the next month should feel like Super Bowl to Cowboy Carter release last year

I feel like these two posts relate to looking at her stats for this year… she did well on Spotify this year but honestly it's disappointing to see her fall so much during June…. Look at the 2nd slide on this post. 2-3 months after almost back to pre lead single numbers and staying at 300M

She was perfectly set up with Renaissance given how many streams CC did its first week and she did nothing to keep the momentum going. And this time she can't blame a surgery. If anything she should have learned that she should push a good second single out and she can still lay back, do nothing and continue to get her *** sucked while radio does the work, look at Cuff It. And she had it with either Bodyguard or Levi's Jeans. 
 

Anyways, this Jan 14 thing feels like it's going to be a documentary on the performance. It will close out the CC era, do some bts on the performance and some commentary about her country roots, honoring another dead uncle, another "why did god give me this talent" moment, more blurry shots and deep low volume spoken bits. Plus it gives Netflix their 3rd and last project from her contract. Maybe goes to the Grammys, wins 2-3 awards, loses AOTY and hides for most of the year and maybe Act iii at the end with another lackluster release roll out, Big tour in 2026 and done. 

I definitely think that what hurt her the most was not sending II LEAST STREAMED to radio release week and not releasing BODYGUARD during summer. If she did, the streams would be much better. And she didn't have to do anything, just send them to radio and work on some playlisting. That would be enough too keep her away from being exposed, but still keeping her relevant throughout the year 

 

However, maybe the Sphere negotiations ruined her plans. If she did perform during the summer, some things would be very different 

Have any of you discussed how incredible the light show was during Texas Hold 'Em riff? It made the moment so much more intense. She highlighted her love for lights and lasers in the Renaissance film.

100%. I can get behind a lot of her weird release strategies even if I don't fully see or understand her vision, but what I don't understand is why she refuses to push her singles. AHAP, II Most Wanted, Bodyguard, Levin Jeans etc could've been cute hits if pushed properly. Even Texas, Cuff It and BMS could've had longer legs with a bit more support.

Because, and I said this many times, she doesnt want the Eras to be long because she planned on releasing the albums each year

The eras wouldn't be long even with 3 singles. Lack of singles is the reason she lacks longevity. Sasha is smashing because of the big singles.

Nah I don't think that's an excuse, she had a whole year and a half between Renaissance and CC. BMS came out June 2022, Cuff It sent to radio Oct. 2022. If she wanted to she could have given us two more singles up until August 2023 and still have 6 months+ until CC's lead dropped. 
 

Same with CC, she could have dropped Bodyguard & Levii Jeans between Spring and December and she would be far from overexposed. 
 

Taylor dropped 4 re-recordings and 4 new albums in the past 4.5 years and has never seen more success

she clearly stopped giving a fūcķ about her chart success. she cared more about Renaissance tour film being #1 at the box office than any of her songs smashing
