I don't get it as well and I tried... I only kept 360 on my playlist but it won't last there for too long.

can someone explain the science of CC losing over 1m streams on sundays  and also explain why she doesn't regain that back throughout the week like most artists when they have steep drops...

 

I swear it's like people will collectively listen to her, then on sundays they're like "ykw, I've had enough!!!" and delete her off their library or something.

She's transitioning back to being a streaming poison; it's a case and question for the science community! 
 

maybe if the Nightmare's scandal had blown up, we could had at least blamed it on him.

funnily enough, i revisited the front part for the first time in weeks earlier today while doing the dishes and it kinda hit different. idk something about listening in the summer makes it click even more than it already did - gave even a simple chore kind of a cinematic vibe

I've honestly been in a brat bubble the last week or so and I am thinking I'll dip back into CC in another week. Kinda prepping my ears for the sonic transition of those 2 albums and hoping I fall back in love with CC all over again after this lil time off. 
 

with so little to live for in the hive these days I might find myself looking for new album reaction videos now to try to feel something comparable to the first month with the album since that's the only high we've gotten so far…

with the way the vinyls have been handled ? the lies ? dj khaled being invited on the RWT stage ? nah she doesn't even put the tip in anymore, nowadays she just comes over, pisses on you & then leaves

CC doing 3M streams & 4 dropped below 600K  streams  whatever queen moving on its pace thingy that she's doing, is actually killing her career.

Honestly, for me she was doing fine up until now because Self Titled, Lemonade and Renaissance are great albums and they feel like they were an integral part of the pop culture of their times. I personally don't consider Cowboy Carter to be that great and pretty much no one remembers it came out this year.

i disagree on CC not being that great but yeah it's obviously pretty much forgotten already (tbf that can be said about every album released this year, not a single one really stuck but that's another convo i guess). what i find concerning is her not caring that her own diehard fans aren't interested in her latest album 2 weeks in… how is that not a major alarm going off ? auntie said ring the alarm and we've BEEN ringing it for years yet things only get worse… and i don't wanna hear no "well we listen to the music we bought we don't have to stream" cause looking at how fast those vinyls sell, y'all are clearly not buying either 

 

and before the "her legacy is cemented she doesn't have to care" brigade storms in : no it's not and the sooner you (and bey) realize that, the better.

your legacy doesn't stay intact when your music has no longevity, your back catalogue isn't being consumed and 90% of your performances, visuals etc are either being hidden behind paywalls or straight up nonexistent while you sit around at home. cockblocking your own fans for a decade straight can not and will not end well either, i hope maison Park comes to that realization soon. good luck with the shampoo tho

The problem with really genre bending, and in a slight way alienating your fanbase is that you will have to promote, you need performances.  The only taste the majority of people got with the album was Texas Hold 'Em, which is one of the weakest tracks.  Most people have no idea what they're missing, and it's really sad, because the album is really great.  She isn't giving it the attention it deserves.

It's soooo sad seeing Lemonade back to being in the pits of streaming like that. It could be heading towards Homecoming/The Gift territory really soon while 4 takes its spot as the classic in the 400K-600K region.
