  • It was the best concert of my life, bar none. Idc!    It was extraordinary, it was ineffable.  I knew I loved it based on the videos but I... Hey I don't know.    Best moment

The forced CC hate feels quite strange.

it's not forced hate, it's not hate at all -- it's still a brilliant album.

but with the lack of an "era," plus all of her money-grabbing schemes like the unfinished "limited edition" vinyl and promoting nothing but Cecred... I personally have cooled off on the album very quickly, compared to RENAISSANCE.

the girls are mad because miss carter refuses to acknowledge it.

they start resenting the music. happened during renaissance too.

meanwhile, its still clearly her best body of work to date. but i digress lol

Absolutely and 100% this. The rollout was hideous, even Ava Max has a smoother rollout and era planned.

Hmm no, after sitting on it and really playing it all April long, theres barely any songs that really grabs my attention anymore. Yes, the songs are all overall good, but theres barely any highlights that make me go back to the album. Surprisingly, Tyrant aged the best for me followed by SHB, while the collabs now all fall flat. Its too midtempo overall for me.

Also, storytelling wise it aint no Lemonade, while it doesnt take u on a high like Rennie or ST. Its solid, but not her best

it might not be your *favorite* beyoncé album, but it is objectively her widest scoping and highest acclaimed album. she has always explored various genres, but this album explores the most. there is classic rock, country, pop, rnb, opera, doowop, and even rap cuts on this album, and she makes it all work cohesively. that is what makes it a masterpiece.

no album with Just For Dud, II Most Bored, and Postyy's Rags is her best :sorry:

it's incredible overall, but those duds automatically put it firmly behind Rennie

Just for fun is one of my favorite songs.

its fine if you don't like it but that doesn't make it bad lmao

as soon as the tour comes around yall will flip just like you did for renaissance once you heard the live arrangements. But ok :rip:

I'd cut those three, Smoke Hour II and Spaghetti and the album would flow flawlessly tbh.

they're bland radio-fodder songs in an album that largely takes risks everywhere else (and at least other more conventional songs like THE and Bodyguard are fun)

I'll give Just For Fans credit for being more daring lyrically, but it doesn't really move me musically.

cutting them would elevate the album raise the "bold" factor

don't you date cut miss Spaghettii :gaycat5:

LEVII'S JEANS, BLACKBIIRD, ALLIIGATOR TEARS and AMEN are the main chops for me, the songs I return to the least. (MY ROSE too but that's negligible.)

Oh It's the worst just for the Thanos line. :deadbanana4:

I pretty much only give American Requiem streams daily. It's still my favorite track. Amen as well for the reprise. Daughter, Tyrant and Levi Jeans are all I go back to anymore.

i want to add Ya Ya but the way it's cut at the end when you play out of order literally enrages me to this day.

Yeah, there's more than a couple gripes with this album and era so I understand why its not leaving the best taste in anyone's mouth. It's still an upper tier album but it's flawed by a bunch of little stuff outside of the Sonic creativity and that can affect the enjoyment for some.

Also, Tour or not, Hive will all remember how mind-boggling this roll out was 😂

Tha-knowles line is corny but nothing I can't ignore for the bars that follow

imagine kicking off the era with an incredible commercial during the Super Bowl (which cost millions to air), generating massive interest...

then letting everything die. RWT movie in purgatory, no update on visuals, no music video, fans calling her IG Reels "promo"... Hive collecting the tiniest molecules of a crumb to continue to love this woman.

and yet, I watched parts of my bootleg copy of the RWT movie before going to bed last two nights in a row. :gaycat6: stanning the greatest entertainer of all-time who happens to hate entertaining is very difficult.

we've complained about it many times over already, but this still truly puzzles me. how do you start an era seemingly poised to go all out and then just… vanish again.

she doesn't even need to be out and about to push the songs (because some of you blownout gape queens will try to say that's all we want and that she's above it), but even just things like… the very late playlisting/radio/the doodoo ass IIMW visualizer are things that a competent team could've handled for her before things started to die off

instead we have a post-release single that's already N/A and the lead is now in the bottom half and descending

and if some dusty hoe tries to say "jUsT lIsTeN tO tHe MuSiC" I still do! go tell that to the public instead!

I do agree that it's probably her most grand project in scope, regardless of how the execution turned out.

But I'm not so sure about most acclaimed. Lemonade still edges its metacritic score and has had incredible retrospective acclaim too, making all kinds of all-time best lists.

And while Renaissance shares the same metacritic score, it absolutely demolished the year-end lists and was unanimously crowned as the best album of that year by a large margin.

The jury is still out on Cowboy Carter imo, wether it will see the long term praise the other two had or not.

You can clearly hear Beyoncé's input in II MOST WANTED just by listening to the demo but yeah....Thiefoncé etc etc

I totally agree

we just need to accept our girl wants to be indie so bad and move on :chick3:
