I know a lot of it comes from a place of jealousy and wanting to see someone confident put in their place, but people are SO weird when it comes to Bey. I saw some reviewer mockingly laugh at the "I'll protect you in the mosh pit" line and talk about how she'd never be in a mosh pit?

 

Would Taylor ever murder her friend's husband? Was Reba a prostitute? Was Dolly working a 9-5? 

 

There are very weird standards when it comes to Bey and her music.

Celebs get underpaid all the time. I think these girls never heard about the gender and racial pay gap.  Bey is a double minority so statistically it probably took her longer to get paid her worth and she still always has to prove her worth .

I get your point and agree, but even if none of that were true other singers would not catch the same flack for the exact same line. 

 

I genuinely think she's just threatening to those who lack self worth which is a LOT of people. Her very existence makes them seethe because there's nothing they can do to bring her down.

If she isn't a celebrity, she would have been sued. A lot of artist stores operate like this (with a few exceptions). It's just that most of the people who order there are stans, so nothing is said. "Scam me, Mother!" or "I don't like it, but there's nothing I can do now."

People have a problem with her because she is actually talented and is also mainstream. She is a threat to their favorite artist. Not only that but Beyonce is actually respected and is a critics darling and have a huge fanbase.

I'm back to pessimistic Hive when it comes to visuals. She's on a stage in the visuals for Amen/I'm That Girl and most plays have three acts, which makes me think the movie isn't coming until act iii is out late next year or in 2026

I really want IASF type stuff. This is sh** white people will eat up. Even my straight metalhead friends took time to listen to the album even if they didn't like a lot of it. You can't say that for a lot of pop girls. She can have the success if she really wanted to. But it's up to her and her team to move. I'm convinced "Texas Hold 'Em" would have been bigger than "Single Ladies" by now if we got a video and a few live performances on TV.
