All I can say is this album is musically THEATRICAL and sonically CINEMATIC at best.

This body of work undulates from singing cowboy and Blaxploitation to Spaghetti westerns and fantasy with Beyoncé weaving between personal experiences, honoring Black history, to exaggerated character building. The limited-edition vinyl depicts a microphone in the shape of a gun ala Thelma and Louise running from the law, but the gun is invisible, hyper exaggerated reality.

I think they chose Renaissance because it's more dance track orientated. Cowboy Carter is better in my opinion.

Thats what you get for not letting ppl sit with the album a lil bit first. 

So she buries them old ideas at the end of Amen and then starts her un-american life in Im That Girl.  Can't wait to hear some SOPHIE and Arca productions on act iii.

After Renaissance was released people also said it wasn't as strong as ST or Lemonade but they eventually switched and they will again.

 

Run a REN vs. CC poll again in a few months and it'll be a different story I can bet you that.
