there's no easy telling how stable it will be. historically, diss tracks fall off relatively quickly. but this one isn't a "diss track" in the traditional sense, even though I've only heard people bring it up for that verse (and haven't heard any other part of the song myself).

 

I give it 2 weeks at #1 at most. streaming is bound to fall off and it won't have radio or sales propping it up. we'll see.

When you check ASCAP, sis has writing credits on traditional gospel and Christmas songs from DC.  I'm glad they didn't actually use them in the album liner notes, but the intention was there.

each album plays a crucial role in her musicianship. you wouldnt have the masterpiece that is ren without ST or lemonade.

 

but the attention to detail on renny is just...insane. the production is so lush, the melodies are so good. earworms galore. this 3 act project will be her magnum opus in her legacy for sure

The way I can just hear her belting out Jolene as the outro of track 7  Not a full cover, but interpolated into the bridge of a song's second half (a la 6 INCH) and closing out the track with a fiery bang.
