You are underestimating the power and hype a BEYONCE album brings.  There will be a Cuff It-esque hit on the album that will go viral almost immediately. Mark my words. 

There are plenty of smash hits in the streaming era with mid first week sales. I’m honestly confused as to how you all expect differently.

This is Beyonce we are talking about, a legend with a very established & dedicated fanbase and a history of good sales. She got over 300k with Renaissance which had a smaller hit, a leak, less discussion about the album and less GP interest. Beyonce will always have Hive who will buy physicals but this time she has GP. Renaissance didn't have anywhere near the GP appeal of CC so far, and the spotify monthly listeners jump after Texas shows that. 

So I did some digging through the Ren thread on ATRL. We were all so shook. Some people reporting their receipt numbers and speculating at over a million sold based on this

Either way, I maintain my initial thoughts from when she put up the pre-orders. Sales will be lower unless she does a big push with the main variant and streams will be up.

Further, the set would have been No. 1 without selling a single copy, as it still would have perched atop the list from only streaming activity (with streaming equaling 138,000 SEA units)."

And yet the physicals are moving slowly. Again, this is a whole country album, not one song. Her sending a video to GMA, like with The Gift, is not going to cut it.  Renaissance was also her comeback album from hiatus despite a smaller hit single as the lead. She will at most do Ariana’s numbers. 275k-300k

The Renaissance webstore vinyl didn't sell out until SHE revealed cover and alternate cover vinyl with its contents. I imagine the same thing would happen here. They'll start flying as soon as she reveals the covers and the vinyl packaging. 

My prediction: 440K

 

Do Y'all know who you are stanning? Beyonce is doing 300,000 and up copies first week lmao. Why would CC first week sales  be lower than Ren when Texas Hold EM is a smash hit with universal appeal and have the YTS line dancing. Ren sold 332,000 copies first week so this era will do more.

Y’all are crAzy if you think CC is doing less than 300k. Beyoncé is an album artist, even when her singles flop, her album will still do well. Texas being the hit that it is only bodes well for the album because this time the GP will also be tuned in as opposed to renny. We will also have those curiosity streams because everyone and their mama would want to know how a Beyoncé country album will sound. Renny also had limited bundles on sale both for box sets and vinyls which is the opposite of CC. One reason why those pose boxes sold out so quickly was because everyone was buying from the same store. This time the EU/Uk store was created separately from US/CAN.
