I'm sure she's releasing physicals and vinyls.  I'm sure there is a plan.  I do think preorders would have been better started at the very beginning with the announcement, she would have probably had mass sales, but she didn't for whatever reason.

 

 

 

They have been saying the movie drops the night before, BUT I actually STILL don't see that garnering enough attention for a big opening first week?

I can see a digital only release for week 1 and physical copies being shipped week 2 if Bey was truly upset about RENAISSANCE leaking. Prior to that, Bey hasn’t experienced an album leak in a long time because of her unique release strategies. Y’all know Bey is sensitive and protective of her art. 

But wait why would a film “drop hours before” when the only marketing for act ii is 3.29 when we don’t even know if that entails an actual album at this point!
 

 

act ii is going to be her announcing her Sphere residency (hence the trailer and the SB commercial) and THE and 16C are just promo singles for a further coming album releasing later this year

So true. She could be moving like this just for that reason (Renaissance leak). I know nothing, but I also theorized weeks ago that the film was coming on release night and that would be the tool to grab everyone’s coins immediately like with the BEYONCÉ release. 
You never know with Bey. But what we do know is she never sold less than 300K first week, you have to know there is a plan.

I think that if a potential leak is the only issue she could sell the album exclusively on her website first week and send it to other retailers later. This way she wouldn't have to sacrifice her first week sales (considering that most of her sales come from her website anyways)
