STORY TIME! 

 

For whatever reason I can't remember why, my mother took me and my brother to a nice hotel. Can't remember why we were there though. I had been enthralled into all of the behind the scenes info you could find on Google, hell, I was the reason she was one of the most searched topics on Google.

 

Her tour was soaring, but her musical career was in shambles! There were rumors she scrapped her entire album because she didn't release songs she recorded a year prior, she was constantly filming videos, but nothing came of it, She randomly told a fan her album was coming in Nov, but there was no time to start an actual rollout, fueling the scrapped rumor, she filmed 2 of her best visuals at the time and they were for high profile ads- MY GOOD SIS WAS SCRAMBLING FOR A COME BACK! 

 

I'd seen the "Grown Woman" video leak, before the video was completed (a few color and effects changed), buy I wad not ready for a full surprise album. Beyonce material gets leaked all the time, seeing that leaked video reassure she scrapped "Grown Woman" as the 'lead' single.

 

I was up after 11:30 that night, to be exact, on YouTube searching for more Drake music (after he dropped his 2nd best album, 🤣). That's when I saw the 30 seconds preview for "SUPERPOWER". Now, because of what she's wearing, I'm thinking "oh, Beyonce is about to drop another clothing line at Target". Then I saw a 30 secs preview for "BLOW". . .my first thought was "who the hell is leaking all of her commercial ads on youtube"? 🤣🤣🤣

 

It never dawned on me that these were music videos🤦🏾. I looked on Twitter, different music blogs- NOTHING! It was still too early to gage what was happening. I did come across "MINE" audio on line and literally replayed it all night, thinking it was leaked.

 

I woke up the next morning, went to the breakfast bar at the hotel before leaving for school and the internet was in complete chaos. Why I didn't know Beyonce released her d@mn album until 7 in the morning 😭😭😭! 

 

I was shocked! It was never heard of to release your actual full length album of complete new material- WITH VISUALS- and not have a rollout, lead single, 1-3 months of promotion before the drop. I was then SURE she was in the Illuminati! 

 

This was a MOMENT for me! She released "4" at the top of my high-school sophomore year. I understand her growth on "BEYONCÉ", I understand stepping out of your shell & growing as a person, hell, I was about to go to college! 

 

My aunt brought the physical copy and we binged the DVD because there was no way Beyoncé was singing "Drunk In Love", "Flawless", "Yoncé/Partition" and talking about getting her kitty Kat ate😱‼️‼️ The instrumentation for "BLUE" (& "God Made You Beautiful") was breathtaking, "GHOST/HAUNTED". . . -ILLUMINATI! 

 

This album was part of my 'BEST FEMALE R&B ALBUM OF 2013' LINEUP

I love Grown Woman and all and I play this video a LOT and I mean a LOT but I really want the Renaissance visuals.....

Yes the geepee thought cuff it was cute. But DUBAI was THE Beyoncé moment of the 2020s. It keeps going reviral for different reasons. Someone used the Dubai DIL riff over the recent viral video of that theater show with a **** ton of confetti that blows into the audience during the finale and it’s at 1.1 million likes and all the comments are joking about how Beyoncés voice is so powerful. They don’t even know it’s an edit. Beyoncé is a VOCALIST. THE PEOPLE LOVE HER VOCALS.
