It was made earlier in the process, before Boots showed up. That sound was scrapped. It fits with Wake Up though

It hasn't even been a whole week since tour ended and I miss her already... I can't take going back to silence again after months of her posting her looks and etc

self titled was going to be Pretty Hurts, Grown Woman, Wake Up, Standing on the Sun, etc. Donk fits in with those.

 

it had a completely different sound before she revamped the entire thing. that's why it took so long to come out

It prob was mentioned but Bey is in the new Beckham documentary on netflix for like 20 seconds it shows Bey, Jlo and David doing a press photoshoot and Victoria wasn’t happy because she was giving birth. I am screaming at Bey making her way into everything
