It would do fine in theaters for a limited single release week.  It'll be the cool thing to do, just as her tour was.  Lots will go, and dress up

 

What would be good is if she made it super kitschy, and it became a weirdo staple (think Rocky Horror)

The likely out-of-the-gate combo of US + international ticket sales will give her great gross regardless. And she'll almost certainly recoup her spend on the visuals with a tidy profit. 

 

If released at a smart window (e.g. holidays), it's the perfect vehicle to use to announce/promote another tour leg (if it exists) or simply end the era on a money-making high. 

 

Also, TS going up first will mean the rollout will be a well-oiled machine as they'll have their data on what works and what doesn't.

Exactly. Let's not pretend to not know how the media operates. I am excited to hear more information. Hopefully we get a confirmation soon.

Imagine a Q4 release for the visuals in theaters. Limited availability, lots of hype. Visuals are finally out. That chapter closed.

 

In late Q1 or the start of Q2 2024, the Homecoming style doc/concert special drops on a streamer (Netflix, Prime, whatever) and arrives with the streaming premiere of the visuals on the same service at the same time. It would work as a perfect promo to plug either a new tour leg and/or Act 2 (which can have the Rennie 2022 rollout). 

 

This route gives her $$$ from AMC (that the streamers allegedly didn't wanna give her), allows her go theater first for the first time, still get bank from the streamers for another low-cost project with the doc, and give fans easy access to watch the visuals again at a later date. 

 

It almost makes too much sense to actually happen, but it would be...kinda perfect.
