Ya know, I’m surprised I’m not seeing the blogs really pick up on Diana Ross and Beys speech last night.

  • It was the best concert of my life, bar none. Idc!    It was extraordinary, it was ineffable.  I knew I loved it based on the videos but I... Hey I don't know.    Best moment

The last thing I'm hoping for is that she says something useful at the final show . If not "thank you Hive for partying with me and for waiting so patiently for the next phase of the Renaissance" or whatever, then at least a real hint this time, a clue that can actually be used to reveal information :skull: She's gotta give us something after 14 months :deadbanana4:

I really thought it would go viral but when you Google "Beyonce" all the headlines are about Kylie and Timothee

Regardless of anything happening after the tour ends, the 'era' is already a huge dissappointment that cannot be salvaged for one reason alone: we've had no televised performances. Nothing to look back on over the years like we do with the VMA medleys, the superbowl performances etc.

Sure we've had the tour and she might or might not release a concert special, but we all know award show performances and tour performances are not the same thing.

It sting. It stings a lot that she would release such a joyful and celebratory record but turn this into such a sour experience.

Yeah if no televised performances is the norm now I'm really upset by that. Happy for her that she's found the perfect place to settle in her career to have happiness and success, but it's really a shame woldwide fans and fans without the means to see the tour don't get anything now.

I agree with you, but here is an interesting discussion. While the era has been less than satisfying for us unhinged fans on a pop music forum, has it really been a sour experience for anyone else? I'm not sure others, including casual fans who fill most of her stadiums, even really noticed she hasn't released music videos and they definitely don't care about televised performances. to me, the record is still as joyful and celebratory as it could ever be for that reason.

now, with that said, she should be thinking about us and catering to us at least a little bit. like, not one crumb? girl I didn't even get to sample the perfume at her show. let alone any hints about Act II and visuals. no interviews since British Vogue, no explanation for DELRESTO, not even a new Amazon merch drop we thought would happen last week. the lack of transparency can be soul crushing.

Unfortunately that may cause her damage in the future, as well

I'm sorry but Church Girl just came on at work and everybody was bopTingT, it's so much unserious fun, Church Girl deniers have never known true happiness, so on so forth

I'm thinking she doesn't wanna do anything now unless she's making a massive payday from it. I'm not sure awards shows pay anything at all and if they do it's probably a minuscule amount to cover costs. I wonder if she'll even give the VMAs a crumb of anything this year like a video acceptance speech if she wins anything

I don't think it's been a sour experience for the casual audience but at the same time what takeaway will they really get from this era? Maybe hearing about the tour but if they never went or barely listened to the album then what? Live performances/visuals can usually send a larger and newer audience to your work.

I have a hard time believing ACT II is even happening now that pregnancy rumors are running rampant from her rubbing her stomach.

I don't think anything seems to be happening more or less than it does with other artists. Tours of this scale are bound to have semi-regular issues. You're literally just plugging your own stuff in to someone else's equipment after hauling it from country to country :rip:

As long as the horse doesn't snap one day and kill everyone underneath her things are fine

Fear successfully unlocked.

Where on TV would she perform though? Super Bowl been there done that, Grammy's ain't **** and don't deserve, VMAs are painfully irrelevant, Oscars once every 15 years atp, BET I'm gonna pass on that one... where else? She's not exactly a Today Show middle of Rockefeller Center 8 AM girl anymore

Why? That would be a pretty iconic way to die and you even get to see the whole show. :jonny5:

I wish they'd post her full birthday speech to her IG. I'd love for people to see that side of her.

I don't think it will if RWT does see the light of day and gets released as a film. but I get what you're saying if it stays in the vault.

televised performances are very retro, no one really cares to do them anymore. I think Adele's only US performance was her special with Oprah. TS hasn't performed anything on TV in a few years. tv productions being largely on halt doesn't help with that either, no late night tv for the foreseeable future. and Bey isn't going to take the GMA stage like an up and comer.

I'm not too pressed about it, especially now that we have the tour (and I've seen it with my very own eyes, too).

Any of the big award shows, it doesn't really matter relevancy, because she will go viral for a good performance, she always does.

She can still perform everywhere. This mentality that she is above certain shows is not the tea. She still attends the Grammys despite multiple humiliations. The folks at the Today Show actually love her

Do what? lol

I'm not surprised, Kris spends more time at Bey's concerts than she does in her own home
