Her resale prices are actually ridiculous like these scalpers need to be handled 

I think the reason why her status as the best performer of all time doesn't translate across the entire general public is because her music post IASF has been lowkey. 

 

I don't know what she get out of NOT promoting her music and limiting her reach like Prince did, but she seems intent on doing just that.

 

Maybe someone can explain to me the rationale behind it cause it gets frustrating at times. 

Maybe it gets more dangerous to be at THAT level of fame? And she's over it? Idk

 

But Lemonade and Renaissance should be two of her biggest albums on the merits alone.

Girl, I had to shell out $5600 for two club renaissance tickets (for me and a boy that things didn't work out with... we're still going together tho, long story )

 

And that was back in MAY! Cause I predicted the viral videos would drum up demand. I can't imagine what it's like now.

I can’t even say too much because I’m planning to go to the closing show in KC with my ex after I failed MISERABLY to get resale for the third ATL show

 

When I tell you I gagged once it hit 9pm & Ticketmaster said the show had already begun so no tickets could be bought + the resellers hadn’t budged at all throughout the 8 o’clock hour…

to put it simply: she's transformed herself into a [musical] luxury commodity, where reach and access are limited in order to 1) focus on quality 2) increase demand 3) create strong brand affinity.

 

In many way's her work in the 2010s aside from her more commercial-leaning moments (ST) is an "if you know you know" moment. This can be frustrating because we want more people to know/enjoy certain masterpieces, but it also increases the love and respect and feeling of connection for those that do know/enjoy those masterpieces. It's the difference between hearing a catchy hook (let's say: CUFF IT) in the mall and then downloading the song vs. personally connecting to a record via the choices and connections to your taste and/or community (like say: replaying RENAISSANCE over and over). There are tons of CUFF IT fans among the GP, but how many actually care about the album, the artist, the intent of the era, etc.?

 

In this way, this is what Beyoncé gets out of limiting her reach. Even just narrowing in on communities to uplift is an example of that. She's doing the rare feat of making mainstream music feel underground and niche, and that's always going to feel different for people than pop music that is popular less for content than for the fact that its popular.

I went to the RWT with my ex (well, it's complicated. We are... exes, but still text every day all day...).

 

Anyway, I even bought the tickets for us when we were exes, living apart.

 

And it was one of the best experiences ever... it kind of healed us a bit...sharing that moment and whatnot...

Bey is a HUGE celeb, easily one of the biggest to walk on this Earth. So the moment she steps out, its all eyes on her. Therefore overexposure is a real thing. You could tell people got tired of Bey during 4 and also post Lemonade. She was too visible and people started to develop dislike for her ("shes too perfect/not relatable", etc). While her approach certainly doesnt let her have those crazy huge eras anymore where shes omnipresent, it does allow her to maintain interest (which is crazy to have 25+ years into ones career), thus build up her value while at the same time securing privacy.

 

I do feel that Parkwood is not optimal at all in making better use of the restricted exposure Bey allows, there are millions of mistakes ive witnessed already. However, she seems happy, at peace and at peak creativity as well as health. So overall, shes doing the right thing for her

nn. I wish I could take it back cause $2300 is a lot of money to spend on someone I’m not ******* (or even plan to remain friends with after this tour date). 
 

But he loves Bey so much I couldn’t be the one to take this experience away from him. I hate being softie.

I cannot fathom the very idea of going to see her with my ex, the nightmare. But you gotta do what you need to do to secure tickets to see mother. If Lemonade taught us anything, it is to forgive (I guess).

This is exactly what I needed to hear tbh. Cause even tho I don’t miss HIM, I do miss his pretty face and fat ass.

It was truly magical! I am not sure of your situation, but at least for me we are in a good place so that made it easier too.

 

Definitely let it bookend the relationship, definitely lean into the lyrical moments she'll give you, singing with/at/for each other. Go into it with the mindset that it's going to be pure joy, and make sure anything that threatens that joy is ignored and dealt with in a manner as elegant and unbothered as Beyoncé herself.

I really hate the overexposed argument.  Beyonce has never been overexposed to the extent these artists today are. Their every waking moment is documented, and no one complains. Yet another artist has released 5 albums in the last two years and another on the way in October on TOP of a ww tour. No one has complained overexposed except on atrl. As fans we always nag about hardly hearing from Bey, no promotion, and even worse this era no music videos. Her last album was 4 years ago and yet it's constant disregard about her talent, music, songwriter, and voice.  And  way more mediocre artists get credit for the bare minimum? It's very frustrating and part of it is Beyonce becoming super exclusive and elusive. 

 

I just saw that viral clip with 10 million views from Charlamagne's podcast that said another artist is best performer of all time and galaxies over Beyonce. :/ When you are absent from the public sphere people tend to forget.
