She really gave us SO MUCH in the B'Day era... some of her best performances, a QUALITY tracklist from start to finish, a more developed personal sound and an entire visual anthology... stanning in early 2007 was so fun...coming right off the HUGE success of Irreplaceable and then getting all those videos, many of which were leaking about one a week...it was so exciting.

This reminds me... why do we STILL not have an HD video of Green Light? Even on Tidal...

I look fondly of these years. B'Day is when I truly became a stan, although I loved her even back in Dangerously in Love. I'm not sure if you remember, but there was another version of "Get Me Bodied" with Voltio, but it had a drastically different video from the official one. It's been scrubbed off the face of the Internet for some reason. There's a version of it on Vevo, but it's a just a mistaken reupload of the original.

I also became a stan in the B'Day era, and was fond of her prior but not yet a stan. Check On It it made me really pay attention and then the era that followed sealed the deal, as well as the fact that YouTube was new and available and provided me so many great performances to look at that made me STAN SO HARD because of the outright display of amazing stage prowess/power. It is a bit outrageous to think it was just pre-2005 content, but even then she was slaying.

I do remember that remix, but not the video. I think I've only seen the replicated original video with the song. What was it like? Was it just different editing?

too lazy to go back in the pages but are the girls STILL slandering Godmonade ? the same ones calling bday a good album too i’m sure

Okay but B'Day is basically as good as Lemonade. What it lacks in deep meaning it makes up for in fun. I think Lemonade is more brilliant album, but as far as just general quality of tracks, they seem pretty equal to me.

Are you perhaps referring to the deluxe version with all the added songs because the standard is impeccable?

Because what can be considered "not good" about this:

  1. Déja Vu
  2. Get Me Bodied
  3. Suga Mama
  4. Upgrade U
  5. Ring the Alarm
  6. Kitty Kat
  7. Freakum Dress
  8. Green Light
  9. Irreplaceable
  10. Resentment

It's basically her most fun, upbeat, banger-filled record until RENAISSANCE, and set forth the basic blueprint of the Beyoncé brand, sound, and ideology more than her debut and perhaps more than the rest, too...until maybe BEYONCÉ came and did it a bit more concisely and directly.

I feel like you can add all of the DIL singles, honestly.

yeah I almost added "Me Myself & I" too. "Naughty Girl" and "Dangerously in Love" are iconic in their own way but less "classic" for the masses.

Id finger myself, treat myself glamerously, send my true self the unreleased songs, promote AHAP on social media, diss Taylor Mediocre Swift and say how I actually agreed with Kanye back then and how her 3 AOTYs and the public admiration for her is absolute bs considering her absolute lack of talent, and suck Jays big dick. Then I would call Michael B Jordan and say Im really mad at Jay and need to get ******. And I'd text Drake to send me his nudes as well as Kendrick (both of them are Bey-obsessed, so it’s likely theyd jump on it).

have to applaud the imagery and details of this actually :clap3:

Ring the Alarm is apparently about to have a moment:

The Perfect ‘Ted Lasso’ Beyoncé Needle Drop Came from a Very Literal Place

this show is really popular apparently, though I haven’t watched it myself

I need BEYONCÉ to drop ACTII soon. I’m so jealous of Taylor constantly feeding her stans full entrees while we have been catching crumbs from Giselle since the release of Renni:redface:

I rediscovered the bridge of “Blue” yesterday. A Highlight in her discography.

Blue is quite underrated which is a shame. I have always considered it a gem.

OT: Perhaps it's an unpopular take, but I'd rather have other songs (Be With You, Dangerously In Love, Rather Die Young and/or End Of Time) over MM&I on the setlist.

B’Day is a lot funner/boppier than Lemonade for sure but the production/mastering aged so badly to me, i can’t listen to anything on it besides déjà vu and the live versions of the songs

Swiffers are also complaining about the silence from Taylor since her album dropped. She released three music videos but they also got no live performances, just a couple award shows she attended and accepted awards at. no magazine covers or anything like that either.

Maybe Giselle can take the hint and drop something right before her first show in May.

i find it funny how Taylor has been so silent during this era, i can clearly tell she's taking pages out of bey's book, i pity the swifties if Taylor becomes an elusive chanteuse :deadbanana4:

Is the new normal for us 2-3 months of her being M.I.A, one or two things, another 2-3 months of M.I.A, another hint of content.... Is this the never ending cycle now?

ITS AT +95% it has sold a lot since that... specially Louisville and Minneapolis

More than 95% sold worldwide? That’s incredible. Do you know the estimate of remaining tickets?

LAST Time was like 140K /2,6M ( a month ago) and all are US dates... the difficult cities to sell like Kentucky and Minneapolis

I was introduced to her around 2003–04 when my sister used to dance to "Crazy in Love" and "Baby Boy" videos for her workout. I remember when we saw the preview for the "Naughty Girl" video on Entertainment Tonight, we were so excited that we watched MTV all day, every day for that week. Even then, I knew there was something very special about her.

The "Get Me Bodied" video for that remix had different footage. I exaggerated by saying "drastic," but there are new scenes put in, new angles added. I think the video was released as part of the Walmart-exclusive version of Irreemplazable. I'm still hunting for a copy.

Dance For You is lowkey the best song on 4.

I feel like Dance For You walked so Virgos Groove could run. Both 6+ minute masterpieces :jonny6:

B’Day is fine. Deja Vu and Upgrade you are two of my faves by her but as a whole, The album is good but not great. I gotta roll with Lem if I had a gun to my head.

Omg I totally forgot this existed :deadbanana: She was really ahead of the curve on that one, the way a Spanish language EP would slay in today's market :jonnycat:

God bless daddy Knowles and the way he made her promote her ass off in the 00s

started that swarm show, not the girl dropping 2k for floor tickets at the “evolution” tour (their version of fwt) then chloe getting back shots in the next scene :dies::bibliahh:
